This is a question for all the anime watchers, do you watch your anime subbed or dubbed?

Personally I prefer dubbed because I don't want to have to read subtitles and lose out on some of the action scenes

I personally watch dubbed, reading the subtitles is fine but I feel it takes your eyes away from what's happening on screen.

Definitely Subbed, sounds weird in other languages. Original is still the best. And I can also learn Japanese while Im watching the anime

I like sub and dub, but I prefer dub much better. One Punch Man was just recently dubbed, and I liked it in an instant.

    Are you sure about that?

I'm sure you can learn few words or phrases, but not grammar.

Anyways I prefer subbed, although just as @QyuBurt said, I feel that it takes your eyes away from what's happening on screen.

I prefer dubbed, I have the tendency to get distracted and look away, especially when the kids are around or someone shows up to visit one of the kids and passes through the living room, and I want to be able to look away or get a drink or whatever without missing what is being said.

This is also a really good reason. I don't sit watching something glued to the screen, I have people to talk to, a phone to look at and food to get and up get. Subbed needs your undivided attention if you are gonna catch everything that is going on. Dubbed definitely wins out.

Maybe make a poll so people can vote what they prefer?
Edit: I like dubbed over subbed as well, I want to look at the anime not at the subtitles.

I definitely love sub over dub. I just can't stand some of the English voice actors. Japanese, in my opinion, sounds much more original. English sounds like they're over exaggerating. But that's just my opinion! :stuck_out_tongue:

Subbed. The dubbed version sounds annoying to me

    Subbed
I watched dubbed, i did like it. When i changed to subbed because the dubbed wasnt there yet i was sold on subbed when i heard it. At least in Naruto it gives me more immersion.

sub - dubbed is just sometimes too over the top or ridiculously english-ised

I will have to go with the subbed bandwagon aswell. Sometimes hearing the voice originally intended sounds better. Some dubbed anime sounds wacky and doesn't sound right when heard after hearing the orginal voice.

I generally tend to lean towards Sub. But for some shows it is interchangeable for me. Bleach and One Piece I just watch whichever I can find new episodes in easiest, it really doesn't bother me either way because both casts do a really nice job and sound fairly similar. My favorite anime, Code Geass, I watch dubbed and I don't like the japanese cast, but FMA: Brotherhood I refuse to watch dubbed. I think it partially depends on whichever version you saw first, as that is what determines which associations you make character wise. I think part of why I generally prefer subbed as well is that since it is in another language its harder to tell if the voice acting is bad, hahaha. Some english voice casts do a really nice job and others not so much. The Japanese voice casts in general seem to do a better job intonation, feeling, and just acting wise but they could be just as bad as their english counterparts. They just sound less cheesey because it is another language.

But yeah long story short I do both, but definitely lean towards sub.
