Not sure if anyone else has been throwing this around Razer Insider but is there any plans for a large Razer Summer sale? Have me eye on a Razer Blade Stealth but the price is the only thing that makes me rethink. Please tell me there will be a sale where I can score a Stealth and never have to consider joining every other uni student with a MacBook. #Standout #Razer4Ever

I can't remember them doing summer sales the last years, so I doubt there will be one this year
however, it is 2017, there are definitely a lot of choices when it comes to portable laptops

Razer store has no seasons sale, but they always had sale for bundle items, pheriperals/gears gifts or gaming code for system, old system sale etc. The best sale is always on January, when they win some appreciation in CES with 50% pheriperals sale in last two years, and 30% Systems sale three years ago.
Btw i think Stealth 4K model is on sale right now, check your Razer Store page, or you could also check refurbished one in Amazon or if you live in US, Razer US Store has their own system outlet.

If you want to get technical, Razer doesn't ever do sales. They do promotions or reward events. :)
Which is probably why there aren't many of these that are repeated year by year. The only two I can think of are the Black Friday event and the CES event, assuming they win a "best of" category.

However, as it was mentioned there are always ways to obtain the gear without spending quite as much. The bundles are a fantastic way, and the refurbished models are also a really good way to save money. They refurbish their own stuff and basically ensure that they are sent out in full working order, just that they've been used previously, returned or needed repairs that were completed.

Have you looked at the zSilver System discount?

  6. Unfortunately computers are investments that will hopefully last you 5-8 years of solid performance. Personally I love my stealth and it was worth every penny and for the price your going to get an exceptional product. While the mac is a well built product and may be a few hundred dollars less the specs will be almost half of what you get with a stealth. In my opinion money aside you would get exception value for your money with either Mac or razer. Just know you will get half as good spec'd computer in the Mac. The stealth is exceptionally well built and in my opinion a much better valued product.

A MacBook Air actually has a more powerful graphics chip (HD 6000 vs the Stealth's HD 620).

Also computers are not investments, their value only decreases.

As a poor college student @SkyFox1929 may want to consider a MacBook Air, during Apple's back to school sale, over the Stealth because of the amazing support Apple provides. There are a lot of people complaining on Reddit about the poor state of Razer support in regards to Blade repairs. And if @SkyFox1929 lives (or will live) near an Apple store then getting something fixed could be as short as an hour rather than a month or longer for having to send in a Stealth to Razer. Besides, Apple products are notorious for retaining value. @SkyFox1929 can always sell it after graduating.

Having something reliable to get you through four years of college is a LOT more important than not having a MacBook like everybody else. There is a reason everybody has one...

And one other thing, with Apple Care you will have a 3 year warranty for an extra $250 vs Razer's Extended warranty totaling 2 years for $400. And coming someone who worked IT at uni, you want an extended warranty.

I guess it depends on what you are playing, I'm seeing a lot of different results on different sites. The difference seems to be negligible so the benefit will be slim if anything. My other points still stand strong.

    I f
I didn't point your other points. Just pointed that early 2015 Broadwell igpu is away weaker than Kabylake igpu. Yes Apple has great CS every where around the world, it all thanks to great job from Steve Jobs, after he passed away, I don't see any innovation in their hardware. Razer has quite expensive extended warranty though, but i think @SkyFox1929 live in UK, and EU Store has 2 years warranty base import LAW here...don't know after brexit though;) And honestly i never had bad experience with CS here in over 3 years owning Razer system, their support is not bad at all. Plus, I prefer bring my black sexy Blade 14 to work place or Starbucks than my 13 MacBook Pro:)

Issues with CS can vary from person to person, just pointing out that people are making a bit of noise over on Reddit. Also that's pretty nice that you guys have a 2 year warranty and definitely makes a difference in consideration! I do admit that the Blade is much more sexy than the MacBooks (except for the space grey *drools*)

Maybe CS in US should take more free day;) Here in EU, most office works only Monday till Friday, including Razer, but i heard that CS in US works also on Saturday. Yes i like the space grey ones, almost bought it though;)
