Synapse 3 Update Crashed my PC

I've been dealing with an issue lately that happened when Synapse 3 updated. The original Synapse 3 install seemed to work out just fine. I was able to configure my keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, motherboard, RAM, and PC case just fine.

Synapse went through the motions of installing the update, and told me to reboot my PC. Upon reboot, the PC booted into Windows and then I saw it "hang." Frozen mouse trails, background frozen, etc... I let it sit for a bit, tried <ctl><alt><del> but it was a hard lock. So I powered off, and did a reboot.

During reboot, I noticed that programs were taking a while to initialize... and then BAM! BSOD.

Reboot... into Windows, now some programs will not even start correctly... then BSOD.

I got the Windows repair option, did a reboot, then turned off Synapse in the Windows start menu. Reboot, and then uninstalled Synapse. Reboot... and now I have zero issues.

This same thing happened a few weeks ago or so... I just built this machine so it's a fresh Win 10 install, and things were going just fine until Synapse did the update and all hell broke loose. I deleted it then, and just let things run to make sure that I don't have any other conflicts going on. Up until about a couple of days ago, it was all good, so I decided to download and install Synapse again to see if perhaps something got fixed.

The version of Synapse 3 that I downloaded must have been the original one (RazerSynapseInstaller_V1.0.150.895) that I was using without any issues... because it has been working great the past couple of days. Today the new update came... and it's back to BSOD central.

Anybody know of any way I can pull logs to see exactly WTF is causing this?

Thanks!

Mark

Just following up on this one... after the uninstall and BSOD's I went back and hit a known restore point in Windows. After I did the Restore, I ran "sfc /scannow" from an elevated command prompt and it came back all clear, so I know that the Restored version of Windows 10 is okay. (For now.)

I'm going to run through a few sets of drivers now to see if that works... but so far, my machine is running fine without Synapse installed. More to come.

Turns out, I had a RAM overheating issue, which caused Win 10 to become corrupted. I spent DAYS testing the RAM and got some better cooling solutions going on, and had to reinstall Windows to get things back where they should be. It's been rock solid ever since. (I haven't updated Win 10 because I've read that there are some issues with a recent update.)

Now my only problem is that Synapse doesn't know to turn things back on once Win 10 goes into shutdown mode. I had things set that if/when it went to sleep, all of the lighting turned off. That part worked great... but when I mash the keyboard and the PC wakes up, Synapse forgets to turn on the lighting on my motherboard. (Keyboard, mouse, and mouse pad turn on just fine.) I have to manually go into Synapse and turn, "Brightness" back on to get the lights to fire up. Any ideas?
