Synapse making mic sound choppy/stuttery

I got a Kraken yesterday and installed Synapse to use it. For some reason, when I went to the mic section under the Kraken and tried to listen to it, the quality was awful. It was the case if I listed in the audio device manager or on discord too. But if I listened to the sidetone in Synapse, it sounded perfectly fine. (None of the other mic settings did anything to fix it.) I was able to fix it yesterday somehow by messing with Synapse and Discord and restarting, but I can't fix it today. I tried reinstalling the audio controller driver for the Kraken and THX surround or whatever it's called but that didn't do anything. Before that, I tried deleting Synapse Game Manager.exe which got rid of the mic sound entirely (but I could still here it as sidetone).
