Just purchased a Tactical Backpack (non-pro) and love it so far. However, I chose the non-pro version for the smaller design, and noticed the bag still contains the velcro loops that the Tactical Pro uses for additionally pouches. My question is, since it doesn't come with any of these extra pouches, are we able to purchase them anywhere? The velcro looks unsightly without them added and I could use the additional storage, but haven't been able to find any pouches on Razers store, only tags.
  2. I also recently bought the small Tactical Backpack and i have the same question. I know that i can put stickers there but the extra space would be neat.

I found out from another insider that the attachments used on the Tactical Pro are called Molle pouches. If you google molle pouches you can find many options. And it's also what the military and police use so many of the products are really cool and have a lot of utility.

May I ask if the smaller non pro version is capable of carrying a 17inch, rather thick laptop with also a sleeve?

It fits my 14in ultrabook fine, with plenty of room. I do believe a 17in would fit, but I'd be concerned with the thickness, especially if your bags are normally full with other items.

I love mine for school. Plenty of room, compact design. The laptop compartment should fit any computer you have. The second compartment fits all my notes and books (although this part is a little cramped) and it has a flap to protect against rain to protect your books.

Why not the pro? They cost the same, and the extras on the front of the pro are easily removed. I actually just bought one, I'll be back to talk about it soon enough.

It's not light, but not heavy. I'd say about average. This one major difference with this bag and others is rigidity. This bag is really stiff, and doesn't have a lot of give in terms of form. I prefer this design as it offers better protection for my devices, but some people prefer cloth designs that are more flexible.

The Pro is actually $40.00 more than the non-Pro. And the Tactical Pro is more of a commuter bag, it's not designed for light travel. Due to it's size, I much prefer the non-pro for school use. It's lighter, more compact, and I don't look like I just got back from a hike when I walk into class lol.

Is this bag nice to wear? I mean when for like 3 or 4 hours, so it doesn't hurt your back?

I might get a Razer backpack in the future, they look nice.

I might get the pro version, because the normal one might be a bit to small for my laptop, and i don´t want to risk a RMA

Thanks for the tip. Didn't know the official Razer ones were sold anywhere. Definitely getting these as they match the color scheme of black nylon on the outside and green on the inside.

How big is the difference between the non-pro and the pro packs?

I have both the Tactical Backpack Pro and the Tactical Backpack. They are nearly identical in every way except that the pro is bigger and has the pouches on the front. My Pro version is maybe 5-6 inches bigger than the non-Pro version. My rather large MSI 17.3" laptop fits very well in my Pro, but I'm not going to even bother trying in the regular one. However, any smaller laptop would probably still fit beautifully in there!

Both are very comfortable and while they initially feel a little heavier when you first pick them up, once you put them on your back the weight is far better distributed than most other backpacks and they're so comfortable that I'd choose either one over any other backpack I've tried. I've taken mine to places like ComicCon for the weekend, my son's USMC family weekend events, shopping at the farmer's markets ... pretty much anywhere, and for a lot of things that don't even involve my laptop. Always comfortable, always just what I needed. :)
