    Greetings everyone!!

I'm sure most everyone here has participated in various forums or online communities and knows that some are great, some are littered with people that can get under the skin and some are just flooded with idiots. Well, I wanted to thank all of you for being such great people and making this place such a welcoming place to be. I, personally, had kind of forsaken almost all gaming communities over the past 3-5yrs or so and it's really nice to have a place to call "home" again.

So, thank you to Razer for bringing us all together with peripherals that we all adore and a forum to share that -- but most of all, thank you to all of you for being a group of people that I really look forward to hanging out with every day! :)

This is the first gaming forum I have ever really been on besides Miiverse, so I just assumed that most gaming forums were filled nice people who all share a common hobby, but I guess that is not the case. I too am very happy about the kindness of everyone on here

I know what you mean. I've been in some toxic forums and I've stopped interacting with online communities for a while. I'm glad to be part of one that is mature and respectful of fellow gamers. So thank you from me too!
  4. I've participated on multiple forums, but never felt like coming back, really. But I really seem to enjoy hanging around here. ;)

I very rarely participate in online forums or community sites. I've found this one to be welcoming and contain good info. I'll stick around. ;-)

I never ever participated in a forum even though i really wanted to. I do used some help i found on random forums but never been a active member of any them. I think most of posts i had was 6 and it was a torrent forum.

Me too, I seek to be as much a forum to talk about gaming , technology , not advanced , but even a beginner , ( before I was with Tom 's Hardware ) and I think Razer Insider is the perfect one.
The only downside for me is that they are not English , but ' maybe it will be a way to reinforce it and learn it better
    This is a paradise

They say practice makes perfect, and I'm relatively certain you speak English far better than most of us can speak second or third languages. LOL

I think it helps that we are all pretty like minded, and when there are differences in opinion anyway, we're mature and rational enough to voice our opinions politely with no personal attacks. That kind of thing helps a lot in creating a pleasant atmosphere.

@Haltus Kain I'm so glad you said something, because I never would've found it otherwise! I just realized that unless I mouse over my avatar icon in the upper right corner, there's nowhere that actually tells me of my alerts or conversation messages. And truthfully, I almost never mouse over that icon. lol

@Crotale I think you're absolutely right. Somehow we managed to get a very mature acting group here who has really kept the atmosphere positive, whether we agree or not. It's been fantastic!

Yah I am liking this site so far and looking forward to seeing where it goes. I'd love to see sections on the forum where we can share our Synapse config settings and the like. Right now I make one by hand for each game I play as I'm sure we all do. Would be nice to see what others have come up with and share.

Razer can be a surprising controversial company to some gamers though. I'd rather not see this forum turn into what the old Razer forum was like before they closed it down.

It's probably because this group of people is small and the community hasn't developed yet.

When you get a big community there will be some disagreements/fights, something you have to accept but it doesn't mean you can't have fun.

Here's to hoping that even when things grow the new folks see the atmosphere and get the "vibe" we've got going on and just carry on the trends we've started ... yeah, wishful thinking maybe, but I'm going to hold on to hope. lol

Huh, I may have spoken too soon. It looks like we're not allowed to talk about other companies even if it's for markets Razer doesn't compete in (Joysticks and etc). I guess it's really just Razer only here, guess I shouldn't be surprised. That's too bad though, thought it could be more inclusive than that. Oh well.

    Have a good one guys.

Please see update here, the issue I allude to has been resolved.

Can you explain a little? I don't quite understand what we're not allowed to talk about.

Also where did you get that info?

I'd made a thread asking what other peripherals besides Razer people use, because Razer doesn't make some items like Joysticks, Rudder Pedals, Steering Wheels etc (I do flight sims and space sims). I figured Razer fans would have similar tastes as myself and was curious if anyone found someone that lived up to Razer's standards. Posted a pick of my mixed items on my desk (5 Razer items, 1 non Razer items).

Didn't badmouth Razer or anything like that, I'm a big fan of their stuff and have been using it for years. It's possible there was some drama in the thread since then? I don't know, but the thread was deleted so I don't know if anyone replied. No message from moderation either.

I wondered if I had mistakenly broken a rule so I went looking in the community forum and found this:

    The Razer Insider House Rules

Razer reserves the right to remove any posts that do not adhere to the House Rules and block anyone who violates them repeatedly, specifically, posts that are:
    • regarding commercial solicitation or promotion of a competitor

I'm guessing my thread violated the Promotion of a competitor rule? I didn't mean for it to be an advertisement and in fact I was brief in my description, but I guess it crossed a line even mentioning another company, even if Razer doesn't make the items I was talking about. Obviously it's Razer's forum and they can do what they please. I was just bummed ya know? I would love a place to talk about Razer gear but I don't want to pretend other companies don't exist.

I wasn't kidding when I said Razer can be controversial on other gaming hardware community sites. I've seen people bad mount Razer left and right, but I've always been pretty happy with their products. That's why I was kinda excited about this place.

I don't know man. I guess if that's how it is then that's just how it is.

Please see update here, Razer has stated this moderation I mention happened in error.
