I'm waiting for one too! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

March may bring new desktop GPU's, but laptop GPU's take an extra year. So, you're looking for a 2019 laptop.

Fitting a desktop 1070?!?!?! Are you crazy, that will automatically bring the thickness uo even more, and the thermals would be worse.

I agree, I'd also hope they would improve the thermal design, maybe by adding a few more fans. And I'd like to know when they will release the 2018 because i'd like to buy soon, sick of gaming on a surface.

Maybe a battery that can endure more time, where you can play longer when unppluged from battery.

I’m agree with all points, only the screen why do you want a downgrade, poeple not using it only for gaming even yes for gaming, you can downscale it to 1440p or whatever that GPU inside it could handle. I want even 5K on next Blade, look at iMac 5K screen, damn it’s beautiful.

I was hoping last week they announced something new, since most threads on featured column is already quite old.

It wont be for at least 2-3 months before we hear anything. I think they are holding out for new GPU tech which makes sense.

I think today is Volta birthday last time nvidia announced pascal when I’m not wrong around Pascals birthday, so maybe it’ll be come soon (so I can step up my EVGA 1080 to the new one;)). Though it’s desktop one, for laptop I think it’ll be later. So I’m guessing they introduce the new casis smaller bezel with 8th gen CPU and maybe max q architecture GPU for better fans behavior and cooling, and they’ll update it later this year with new GPU...with some new issues;) and I’ll get 2019 Blade that solved those issues:)

Let me start by saying, I Love the few Razer products that I own. But I don't own a Razer computer yet. Just peripherals. What would I like to see in the 14" Razer Blade 2018?

Optimized thermals and a 32GB RAM option please.

Leave the specs optimal for thermals and market a combo deal with the Razer Core V2. Last thing I want is my $3000 laptop to burn up. But I still want the flexibility the 14" system has the potential to deliver.

I own a small IT company - there's only 4 of us... its a small company. My day consists of a mix of technical support, software development, and media development all from my one laptop which I also take home at night. I dream of a portable powerhouse computer I can use for both work and play. My current laptop doesn't do the "play" part very well since it has no separate GPU on board. Sadly just embedded Intel graphics. I rely on my desktop tower at the office for graphics intensive applications right now.

I would like to replace both my laptop and my desktop with one single laptop. So far I can't.

In my case, my laptop goes with me everywhere. Tablets don't cut it for the work that I do. And no manufacturer seems to make in a decent 14" form factor laptop that doubles as a killer system. I've avoided making a new purchase for many years because I have yet to find what I want in a laptop. I need both portability and power which I know is a lot to ask. The Razer Blade 14" is very close, but the only thing preventing me from purchasing is the lack of 32GB option. That's a deal breaker because my job heavily relies on my ability to run virtual machines which I currently run on the desktop PC and have to rely on remote software when not at the office. I'd like to change that.

My Steam library is also in need of a new home.

Everything about the 14" Razer Blade has set the stage. Few to zero other manufacturers pack this much technology in a 14" system in the perfect way. Razer does. The current Blade is everything I need except for RAM.

I'm probably on my laptop a good 8-14 hours a day, depending on the day. My laptop is glued to me practically everywhere I go. I both want it to look impressive and BE impressive.

These are my humble requests. Thermal optimization and 32GB RAM if it's possible to cram it in.

Thank you for everything else! I enjoy the Razer peripherals that I own. I hope to add a Blade and Razer Core to the list very soon.

If they can paste their laptop well the thermal won’t be that much of a problem. However, none of the companies is gonna do that, sad

The razer blade could have the same thickness using and 1080 max-q if liquid metal was applied as thermal paste

I'm hoping the new Razer Blade/Blade Pro will have the option for a 1080 max-q. The 1060 seems a little outdated for these laptops. Based on their track record, I'm expecting a Q2 release for new models in conjunction with the new Intel H processors. We'll see though...

yes agreed at least they should give a teaser or release date so that they do not lose potential buyers from buying other brands

It will never happen even if it can lower temps 10-20c.

And move trackpad to right beside the keyboard, put keyboard on the bottom (current wrist place), and opening bottom lid like zephyrus...all that things are to manage better thermal on 1080max q...than my next laptop won’t be a Blade;)

I just read the first gamingnotebooks of 2018 are expected between March and April, because Intel releases their new Coffee-Lake-H-Series. So I guess we will hear from Razer in about a month what the Blade 2018 will look like.

From the point of view of industry and GPUs, if Nvidia does not announce anything new during GTC they will harm the gaming community badly, from gamers to companies like Razer whom will not be able to offer anything significantly faster/cooler/efficient than what they offered in 2016, loosing many potential buyers who know the deal. Buying a $2000+ laptop with a 1060 inside in the year 2018 is just ridiculous, I just can't do it, so still waiting until March April, otherwise will buy another much cheaper brand.

Blade 14 2017 FHD price is already under 2K, and 1060 still powerful enough to run 1080p games. But you’re right there’s no reason for them to release 1060 in 2018, since at ces Nvidia introduced 1070 maxq on the competitor Aero 15x. I would like to see that gpu on Blade 14 combined with new 8xxxHQ 6 cores cpu, and cassis improvements (better portability, thinner bezel as users put on top priority wish lists and cooling) to take back ultrabook gaming laptop top leading place.

A Blade with GTX 1070 Max-Q and a new coffeelake CPU would be perfect. Just add better cooling and thinner bezels and I´m ordering it right away. It will be hard to wait until the end of March...
