The Dueling Fates

Hey Guys. How many are still waiting for this update to come online? Please do share your views about these pretty new heroes too. Check out the trailer in case you haven't watched it yet.

 

To be honest, I don't like those periods of time when new heroes are added to Dota, because each and every game is with those heroes. Not needed to say that if player choose new hero in my team, it's automatically a lose because it's almost always like playing 4v5.
I am more interested into buffs and nerfs in upcoming patch.

 

hahah yes i recall when Monkey King just came out and it was spammed so badly in pubs. but i think that its alot more exciting to see how the pros use the new heroes and the innovations they come out with (i mean thats why they are pros).

it was a joy to watch iG.Boboka and zai make MK a viable pos4 (with the basher abuse), and nowadays his reinvention as a situation pos1.

 

I disagree. When monkey came out sure he was spammed so much it made me sick but there were a lot of great plays on him even with inexperienced players. There were plenty of games saved by mk (at least in my games)

 

Then you had luck. I would dare to say that in my case there was something like 3 of 10 games when MK in my team played decently (not good, not awesome, but decently). Only after he appeared in tournaments I noticed that this hero is more utilized then before.

 

i would say that we had completely different experiences with MK than since he died out right before the tournament and i bearly see 3 games in 2 weeks with him; And i only saw a crappy Mk in 3 out of 10 games when he was popular. Usually 5 were ok and that 1 was a game changer

 

Dota has been consistently releasing new heroes over the years. I feel it's one of the ways to keep the game alive. With new heroes = new meta/combos. Apart from the epic game changing and minor patches such as the introduction of the talent tree, new heroes can prevent stagnation for D2.

That being said, I'm super excited for the new heroes!

What are some of the heroes that were released in the past and have become a part of your hero pool? For me it has to be Legion Commander back in 2013.

 

Mine too! I generally like jungling heroes, even now when it's "bad" to jungle, and LC is one of those which makes jungling easy. Other new heroes not so much. I played maybe once or twice Pit Lord and Monkey King.

 

For me it would have to be Oracle

 

More excited for buffs and nerfs and some UI updates. I'm really not a fan of the two new characters revealed at tea-eye. I'm sorry to say, but to me they look like something from VainGlory or those ripoff MOBA's on the app store. Just my 2 cents.

 

well, this will be out on November 1 (along with the very very secretive ahem razer update). so we'll just have to wait for that day

 

Does anyone know when is the next patch coming?

 

1st of November. Valve mentioned it somewhere.

 

Yup 1st of November. New heroes are coming

 

Its closing in, 4 more days till the big patch hits. Also on 1st november, razer is coming up with some announcement. Perhaps something related to dota 2 ? xD
