Shadow of Mordor needs better SLI support
Metro series is still pretty intensive.

I heard that the new Assassins creed is VERY hard to run.

It is. I built a rig for my friend and he can't run it at full. He has a R9 280x, and he gets like 22 frames.

Hardest games overall (including the ones that are not really optimized for PC) or amongst the ones that are optimized where you get a real "power to graphics - ratio"?

Really, both. I find that a lot of games that are not optimized for PC are hard to run, but don't seem like they should be.

Yes, especially when you compare the specs of the consoles with your rig and the graphics are really close even tough the specs of the PC are by far superior...

What's up with that, anyway? The systems are running like.. 2GB 925MHz clocked Radeon integrated cards or something.

The secret world is still a system choker. With a Core i7 3820, 16 gb memory, a samsung evo ssd for the game and a Gigabyte G1 970 i still cant get above 40fps average with the game setting pegged on a 27" 2560x1440 IPS monitor. Metro i can peg my self limited 60fps on as well as BF4 and many others. TSW still slows me down due to all the environmental effects.

I honestly I had no idea that game was challenging to run, I'll have to get it just to see!

It is really weird... i mean the graphics are ok but they arent what i would call great.. but the scripted and dynamic environmental effects and mood effects really take their toll.

It could just be that that game has an insanely high polygon count. Just like Minecraft is a little harder to run than you'd think.

Yeah, I try to play Last Light, but it has certain bits that are laggy. For example, when you are underground, super lag. When you go to the surface, no lag at all... wat?

I kept slowly overclocking my GPU to try and get decent playable performance. However, in the end, I had to stop myself and say "Hey, slow down there! you're gonna break your computer if you keep on like that!" I still got SOME decent performance from that though :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The only lag I experience is when I move the camera 180 degrees really fast. So I had to tone down the texture to high, but everything else is on ultra.

I had zero issue with either the older Metro series or the newer Redux versions.

I'll be interested to see how my system handles Unity whenever I do decide to pay for it.

I haven't really found anything recently that causes me issues, but I've not tried Shadows of Mordor either.

First thing that came to mind was Metro Last Light Redux. Haven't played the Redux version yet but the normal one wasn't a walk in the park.

Far Cry 4 hasn't exactly been running that well on most computers.

    that just changed for me...
Actually not a spoiler, just hiding the OHM data
    + Gpu Video Engine 3% max 61%
    + Gpu Memory 10,8% max 99,1%

Isn't the redux version just "better graphics"?
