If this is a repeat thread of an existing one, I apologize in advance. For about a week, I could never understand why my Kraken TE headphones required that I boost my volume to 100 on my PC just so I can hear sounds at an acceptable level. At first, I thought it was my ears going bad. I tinkered with everything from Synapse 3, maxing out all the EQ settings, to changing USB ports to fiddling with the mic settings.

And then, I accidentally figured it out. The Kraken TE has 2 mic volume controls: one on the USB dongle and one on the wire attached to the headphones themselves. I discovered that the dial for the mic volume on the wire itself was set to about 50%. THAT was the culprit that was giving me low volume output. Now, I have considerably loud (and awesome) audio at a volume level as low as 35-40 on my PC. Fiddling with the mic volume on the USB dongle alone is not enough. The mic volume control on the wire to the headphones overrides the mic volume control on the USB dongle so you have to make sure you mess around with that as well. I hope this tidbit helps other having issues with the low volume of the Kraken Tournament Edition headphones

i'm having the same issue that everything is on max volume, but for me everything is litterally max, 100% in windows, 100% on dongle and 100% on volume scroll button, when i first got it it worked great and max volume would've destroyed my ears, but now...

can't find a solution to it either
Same issue as above. Max volume everywhere, and actually comes through when checking mixer surround sound fine, but anything else is super low. All that is using the Kraken TE Chat option, the Kraken TE Game option doesn't play any sound at all (in mixer or otherwise). Worked fine until a few days ago.
for me the TE game channel gives me normal audio but not THX surround...
This just happen to me, I brought these Headphones on Friday, they worked really great. But today, when I started up my PC, my volume was/still is super low and I have all the volumes turned to 100% even the dial on the wire. After messing around with it over and over, I uninstalled Razer Synapse and *poof*, the issues went away, my volume is back to normal sounds. So there's something in the Synapse files that is blocking the volume levels and I really hope they fix it, because I see this is a new issue that shouldn't be happening. So if you're having this problem, just uninstall the Synapse program and it should work fine. I also got curious to make sure I was 100% right about the program, so I went and installed it again, and yep, my volume went down to super low. So it has to be a file in the program that is affecting the headphones.
The issue is caused by synapse itself. If you uninstall the sound will come back. I have had to reinstall synapse multiple times. It seems to be very flawed and fragile software.
