You go into device manager and right click on monitor. In the properties tab go to details, then in the drop down menu go to hardware ID. It'll either say AUO or LGD.

Still no 32 GB option. For those of us who use a Blade as a better MacBook Pro, this is important!
(You have a fantastic opportunity to take over the MacBook users, because Apple really stumbled on the latest generation)

I got the laptop 13 days ago, and installed it 2 days ago, Nuke 10.5 Non-Commercial. Also, adobe Creative works perfectly, and davinci resolve aswell. I color Calibrated the fHD screen which took out that weird pink/yellow tint, now whites are clean and white.

maybe in two generations it will have 32GB as an option.

Well the new MacBook Pro doesn't have 32gb as an option ... so yeah ... perfect alternative for the MacBook Pro :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

There's really no major reason they couldn't put 32 GB in it today, other than they save a dozen bucks.
I think it's short-sighted of them, and really hope the next model makes the jump.

Did anyone who bought recently had any problems with their blades? It seems safer to buy now

Yes it safe i think, because in this thread there are recently less complains about their new Blade from users. I am considering to get one too, tough it is if until next week they don't release 4K model;)

What makes you say 2 gens, instead of next gen?

Its rumored that apple is going to do a refresh this year with a 32gb option since a lot of people were upset that that wasnt an option.

wild guess, but that kind of refresh would be welcomed.

Yeah I would loooove a 32gb blade. I would pick that up day 1. I max out my 16gb almost every day and its super annoying once so much swap starts getting used

how on earth do you max out 16GB of ram?? doing digital compositing? or scientific apps?

I'm a fullstack web dev. We have this system that has multiple servers that sync with each other, and my local setup I need to be running multiple servers at once to test my code on. So I can have 2-3 servers running at once, plus everything else running (chrome, my IDE, sublime text, smartgit, mysql workbench, etc). maxes out pretty quick. My current laptop only has 16gb, and I can easily get up to 25+gb total with swap. I have a dedicated 32gb ssd that is dedicated for swap, but its still slower then ram.

There is Pro model for you. Or other brands like AERO 14 if you are looking for portable, even built quality not as good as Blade its RAM can be upgraded to your needs.

Anyone having random rebooting and sleep mode issues since updating W10 to the creators update? My PC randomly BSOD and gave me "critical process died". I ran SFC and it found a Windows software error and fixed it. No idea what it was. Today I've gotten a random reboot and while listening to a YouTube video, the laptop went to sleep by itself for some reason (I had only been watching a video for 1 minute so it wasn't due to inactivity).

I also think my speakers aren't as loud as they should be. I've tried blasting several things on YouTube and used a decibel app on my phone, the loudest my speakers get is about 82 decibels when I place the phone almost on top of each speaker. Is this a little soft?

I reverted back to version 1607 build 14393.969 using the Windows Update utility. Is there a downside to doing this vs. just restoring to factory default?

You have it next year if they win something again, so put your alarm:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Tough systems are not included in last 2 years CES sales, I hope next time they will put it so i can get the blade pro.

Credit card dispute filed today for defective Blade received back at Razer in late February and no progress at all on the refund with support. BBB complaint will be next. I've been more than reasonable in giving it this much time to resolve itself, I am done. Totally unacceptable. Order from 3rd party merchants guys, it isn't worth the frustration dealing with this incompetence.
