It's a shame they don't actually take pre-orders - then they'd have a better idea on how many they'd need. I'd put a deposit down, and be saved the headache of checking back regularly. I don't trust email notification, which don't actually guarantee them a sale :/

  2. I'm guessing they don't want to disappoint people with no "real" shipping date. It seems that all of the pascal laptops are having supply issues. Might be an nvidia supply chain problem. Lots of other brands have had delays already.

1060 is supposed to be an essentially drop in replacement for 970m. No need to redo the hardware.

That's probably why the original RB 2016 has 6GB of VRAM. The 2015 model only had 3GB for the 970m. No real reason to change that, except to be prepared for the 1060. Saves costs on design and engineering.

It's Razer. Should take a good 2-4 months longer than mainstream companies.

I have the Razer Balde 2016 Signature Edition 512GB (link goes to the Microsoft store because they have replaced all of the models in the Razer Store with the New New Razer Blade 2016's) @ $2199.00 - you should be able to get the same for less now that the newer versions are out - though I might be wrong there.

The signature edition ensures there is no bloatware installed - when I ordered it from Razer my was shipped just like that.

I have been using my Razer Core + EVGA 1070 FTW attached to this for about a week now and it is so incredibly amazing... it was definitely the way to go!
  18. I contacted the store this week and they don't have any release date at all yet for the UK. Given we can only buy the 3 gens back blade here for more money than the new 1060 model in the US then I'd say 2018.....
Really frustrating, now having to consider the Aorus x3 v6 or trying to order a blade via a US colleague that travels to UK frequently (then hope it doesn't break down). Razer just don't seem to have a Scooby on inventory management.

Now all we need is a update to the Razer Blade Pro. The pro should have a gtx 1070 or gtx 1080 (it needs to be called pro for a reason) and Kabylake processors

Come on Razer do your magic and make it happen :D
