I was wondering the same thing. For the 1080 screen they mention getting high fps, but they didn't say what the refresh rate is. Since they didn't say, I'm guessing it's just 60hz still. Would be cool if it was 120

This would be wonderful for my gaming and video making, but sadly i cant afford it, maybe i'll get one in a few years.

It is due to the thermal temperatures. So much power is required for the 1070 that they aren't able to dissipate enough heat through the fan system due to the body being an aluminum body.

omg those prices!!!! XD i wish i could get one!!! :frown_:

btw just checked the new pascal blade site, does that mean the the full HD version won't have touchscreen???

Is Razer holding some 'BoOM's to come along with Intel 7 gen?

yes it is, but razer had to cut corners, none of the full HD models come with touchscreen.
the cheapest is full HD, 256GB SSD for $1799, check for yourself

    I bought that model.

And I disagree on "cutting corners" - We've been begging for a matte, FHD version for a while, and a matte screen is non-touch.

Still nothing on the Canadian side. Can anyone please give a release date for Canada, I am tired of refreshing the page every 30 minutes.

So which one to get? I wish touch was available on the lower resolution device.

This is how they balance their production. Razer is too small to lose money on leftover stock when new tech drops before old inventory sells. So they stagger releases to the overseas market to keep prices on dated technology high enough that they don't sustain a loss on left over boat anchors.

  12. So if we didnt get a preorder in during that 2 hour period when can we expect to be able to order this?
  13. So is it true that there is still no backlighting for the secondary key functions?
    Why I that?

I wonder why the new Razer Blade doesn't have the 7th gen Intel core processor (7700HQ). Do they not have them yet? It's a bit odd because the new Razer Blade Stealth is using the new Kaby Lake processors.

The Dual core Kaby lakes are out, but the quad cores arent out yet. most likely coming out sometime Q1 of next year. The Stealth only uses a dual core so they were able to update those
  16. Only dual core (low power) kaby lake has been released. Will have to wait for quad core.

Just got the 2016 a few months ago, wish there was a trade up program.

It's because of the position of the secondary key print, it is not aligned with the LED. I own the Razer Blade 14 (2016) 512gb and I memorized what the secondary keys do so I don't mind.

    I'd like that too.

That moment when you just got your "new Blade" last month and Razer screws you over again.

Too bad I feel it'll be hard to get, just like the 2016 model - no shipping outside US via Amazon US.
Stores here in Dubai always sells one variant of the Razer Blade. It was tricky for me to get a 512GB 2015 Blade from Amazon. But now, it's nearly impossible to get one!
