I really highly doubt it is under 300 units a month! If I had to guess, based on demand planning and normal batch sizing, I'd call it around 2-3k a month. You have to understand that there are multiple outlets for these, MS stores, Amazon, etc and people react quickly to in-stock notifications.

Also, early production on any product takes time to ramp up. Those lines are cranking out a few units, getting evaluated and tuned. They could wait and stockpile a bunch before launch, but instead they've opted to sell as they ramp up. Which actually means, on average, less waiting than the make-lots-first approach. Yet still, people complain.

I feels the reason for what Razer is doing is the lack of competition. For those of us how want a gaming laptop with a professional look, portability, quality and don't mind to pay a bit more for that, Razer is the only choice. The closest is MSI's GS63VR, even that is still far behind in design and quality. If there is some other product target the same costumer group this will not happen. I think Asus or Dell could easily done that, all they need is a better GPU in their ultrabooks.

Still no new about the 1060 blade in Canada. I think someone says the world release is in November. Can anyone confirm or deny that. I don't want a Christmas gift, I need it now. I will wait until Monday, if it is still not available in Canada, I will get something else.

It looks to me like Razer is cranking out updates faster than almost anyone. They decided to go with 1060 and not wait on Kaby Lake quad core. The tradeoff on cost to refresh a product line vs. waiting is going to work out differently for different manufacturers. Dell doesn't spin designs this fast.

They won't even be available in the US (aside from the already sold out early release today) till October. And sounds from this thread like there's plenty of demand for those, so they won't roll out internationally till after. Sorry.
  6. I guess I was one of the lucky two that ordered on time. I stilt doubt I get it in before October considering the confirmation email I received said EST. Ship date Sept 30th.

I woke up and stared at the screen for an hour... debating to order or wait for an in store Microsoft purchase... needless to say I waited long enough that I know my decision now.

everybody is making a big deal about Canada and EU/UK but what about Asia these overpriced laptops are made in China and shipped round the world to the US if you could
order in US by the time you get it in ASIA it will have been round the world. The short order is to keep the price high and the customer hungry for the "Latest" model
  9. Funny thing is before the release of Pascal, I tried to find a blade at the store but they were sold out. Few days later I ended up buying an msi gs63vr from Best Buy. The sound was messed up so when I went back to exchange it, they had sold out. Then I luck out by ordering what I originally wanted but with the gpu upgrade.

I won't repeat the thoughts I posted in the locked thread on this - it's longer than a paragraph so 90% of you won't read it anyway - but I just have to comment on the amount of negativity here regarding the release of a product that is exactly what everyone has been asking for. I know, I's the minority, I get it, but seriously for those of you that are disappointed for any reason, just don't buy the goddamn thing!

As for the availability in Europe, Asia and elsewhere: sorry guys but it is what it is. I don't work in logistics like @reloader-1, but I'd be shocked if Razer has 5% of Apple's manufacturing and distribution infrastructure. This is a niche company with a history of making some really good peripherals that's branching out into a much more complex market than selling mice, keyboards, etc. Comparing Apple to Razer is a massive waste of time. Patience is a virtue, people.

Does anyone know if the 1TB SSD option is using the Samsung sm961 drive that was released in July?

Also, any idea if the HDMI now works properly? (the 1.4 version had some audio glitch If I remember correctly).

Speaking of multiple outlets, have you heard of Are they a scam? Do you know when we can expect stock on their website?

    Firebat246 The One

They are not a scam... I know people that have ordered from them no worries. I own a custom clevo laptop with 980m sli soon to be 1080 sli and some of my fellow owners from the forum have bought from them.

The reason I thought they might be a bit dodgy is that if you purchase from them and ship to UK there is no additional VAT, which I expected there should be... Do you know when we can expect stock for the blade 14 on hidevolution?

@reloader-1 You gotta understand a broken man who couldn't get his hands on a piece of art for reasons that are out of his reach... Also do you know where we will be able to watch the live keynote?

It shouldn't be much further after other retailers have it. I would send them an email they should get back to you fairy quick.

I think it's really sad that Razer put a GTX 1060 and not a 1070 or 1080 in the new blade :slightly_sad:
    The 1060 is pretty much a newer 980 :/

You need to read what other people post before you post, you're repeating what others already said multiple times earlier. Not only that, it isn't even a valid point. Only way to put a GTX 1070 would be with a better cooling solution, and that means a thicker laptop. Do you want a Razer Blade or a Razer Brick?
