... the hell? Good luck selling some in Canada!

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Razer fan, but even with our weak dollar, that price is ridiculous. If the next Razer Blade is that expensive, I'll have to jump off the bandwagon. I know it's a premium product, but that's more than premium price.

That is around US$3,000. Still less than Europe with around US$3,700. I would be happy about your price.

Take all that money you save on prescription drugs and buy one, eh? :wink_:

That's $2970 US. Not that far off from the base US price of $2700. You've got 5% customs fees to count, exchange rate fluctuations, and perhaps differences in warranty coverage like EU. It doesn't sound entirely unfair.

We are paying so much in taxes in QC that I'm probably paying my prescription drugs 30 times over every year :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:

3999.99$ is excluding customs and taxes for which we have to pay on top of it, ending up somewhere between 4700$ and 4800$, which is a lot of money for a laptop.

I mean, for the same prime I could have TWO (2) MSI GS40 Phantom 6QE-003US and enough money left to swap both mechanical drives for 512gb SSDs (therefore having 2 SSDs per machine). That is where the price stops making sense ...

I'm all in for paying more to get the premium laptop, but twice the amount? That's when I start looking at other models.
  5. Dont say it isnt entirely unfair. You guys ALSO have the $400 discount, which we do not have in Canada (we dont have any disounts as a matter of fact). In the end, you guys are paying 2300 USD which is 3088.81 CAD, PLUS we haven't even calculated the cost of duties/taxes. We are paying well over $4200 CAD for a machine worth $3100 CAD if conversions are there.

Oh, well that's much different. I would have expected the $4k to included the cost of crossing the border already, since you're paying in CAD.

In that case, I invite you guys to come visit in the states. We can go hang out at Fry's Electronics or the Microsoft store. Even with the cost of the trip, you can leave with a new Blade and still be saving money :big_grin_: The high tomorrow is 91F around these parts. Bring some summer clothes!
  7. Im just enjoying the fact that the microsoft store in canada is being a pal and not raising prices on the blade due to the economy. They offer the price of $3600 plus $360 off if you can show that you or family is in school. So it isn't entirely that bad I guess, but lets wait for the 2016 ;)

3,999 CAD is 4077.54 AUD.. here in Australia the 512 costs $4099. You're getting it a bit cheaper :)

And I'm guessing it's available to buy there? It's been out of stock here for a couple of months now.
  9. BTW, the microsoft store in CANADA now offers the blade 2015 for $3399.99 CAD. This was like a hidden discount i think because last week it was $3599.99. Again you can save on top of that using the 10% microsoft student discount! :D

Ive made a complex chart regarding this issue.

    Reasons to move to america
    •lower prices on Razer products

Reasons not to move to America
    •Entilted brats.
