Stay away from Dell / Alienware. I had nothing but problems with their nonsense for products for years. Desktops and laptops. Let's put it this way, I finally learned my goddang lesson dealing with them. :mad_:

Yeah I have been burnt by them also but I have also never purchased from Razer and am reading that there are possible fan issues and customer service isnt that great.

On the other hand I also have been reading about the coil wine on the XPS 13 and dell customer service has never been pleasant either.

I got the extended warranty on my desktop. Whenever something craps out I force them to send a technician and replace the part. I could easily have them mail me the part and do it myself. But screw them. The way I figure it, I'm getting partial payback.

So how has your experience with the RBS been?

I've never used or owned a Razer Laptop. I'm just commenting on my experience with the nest of vipers at dell / alienware. You know what they tried to do the last time? They tried to force me to buy a firewall when one of THEIR technicians messed up my desktop. That was a month a half ago. Luckily for me windows fixed itself.

You know what the dell "supervisor" said to me on the phone when they tried to inveigle me into buying a firewall? He kept implying that I was visiting porn sites and I "needed" a firewall because I had a trojan. I ain't ashamed if I visit porn sites, but what kind of support service representative says that type of stuff to their customers? He was totally smug about it too talking down to me like I was a child. Talk about your lack of professionalism. I was totally disgusted.

This is the link to the firewall they tried to force me into buying. I originally called because their technician didn't re-set my computer after he remote accessed it and it bricked my desktop. What I want too know is how a service call involving them messing up my desktop evolved into me buying a firewall? They were all ready to jump to send the technician to install my firewall, you can bet your ass on that. The problem was, my desktop was bricked! LOL

Perhaps the next iteration of Blade Stealth 13" should have an SD card reader and a discrete graphic (at least GeForce MX150) to cater the needs of creative professionals.

So does this have Intel HD graphics?

What specific model of SSD are Razer using in the 13.3" Stealths--and is it the same device across the capacity range? Really don't want to be saddled with anything but the best at this price range.

Sorry if that's already been asked/answered.
  10. Would be interesting to see an 8th generation Intel CPU in the Stealth. i7 8550u or 8560u e.g. Would be a great update to the Stealth/Core combo since gaming on a quadcore is much better and more "future proof". Would jump to a Razer Blade Stealth with the new bazels, Gunmetal and quadcore CPU and pair this with the core. Right now only a few have announced these upgrades. If Razer skips this generation of CPUs I will have to get a Dell since I need a notebook right now and I refuse to buy a dualcore if quadcores are around the corner.

Are there any news about the integration of the 8th generation yet?

No news but I think they will do that but not soon since 13,3 model just released in this summer. If you need machine with Kabylake R CPU immediately, you can get Dell XPS 13 but check if it has still half bandwidth TB3 (2 lanes), one previous model supports 4 lanes but i heard this one not supported TB3 PCIe3 4 lanes. It still though could run eGPU but with 4 lanes like on the stealth it would be even better future proof.

This would be the ultrabook for me if only it had Intel 8th generation and Nvidia MX150.

8th gen CPU is possible, but MX150 would melt those thinny chassis, iris graphic like on Dell XPS 13 and MacBook pro 13 should be enough to pair with Kabylake R imo.

I think you can buy mercury skin from dBrand. Mice and Keyboard are not as hard as a Laptop to costumize imo.

I am trying to buy the 13" gunmetal version in Austria at the moment. The computers here are shipped from Germany. Has anyone got an idea when the gunmetal grey version will be launched there? The razer support couldnt help me out and nobody wants to answear the phone in the headquarter in Germany.
    I would appreciate any information!

You can’t purchase gunmetal from Razer EU, since it atm only North America limited Blade Stealth. You can only maybe import it through Amazon or third party sellers like Hidevolution if there’s any with more expensive price than here, and you will only get a year warranty from Razer EU.

Alright thanks for the quick reply! guess a black one will do just fine then... hope the fingerprint stuff is not as bad as everyone is saying

It’s bad like other CNC black chassis laptops. You’ll need a skin like from dBrand if you don’t like it, it’s not too expensive now and free shipping cost also. I ordered one but i think I’ll just wait the protective case to make it less fingerprint, and considering if I have to put it on it or no. I like also its material touch feels than a skin fells.

I have a question about pricing. I understand that Razer isn't a company known for its low prices, but the original $999 for the 2016 Stealth is what made me buy it. Because it was such a competitive price, and everything came standard. For $999 I got a laptop with an i7 CPU, 8GB RAM, a QHD touch display and a beautiful aluminum shell. That price was very competitive because to get a similar build from Dell or Apple would've costed at least $1500. Factor in the Core and the price of a graphics card and you're closer to $2000, at that point I would get a Blade 14.
