Doesn't seem like a sports headset. Though would be great to be rockin some razers without wires for a change.
Really looking forward to picking these up! Was just saying how they needed a BT version and would you look at that? The universe provides
Ideal case would be 3.5mm jack as default and a converter for idevices, and c-type android devices along with the headset, although bluetooth works fine with all of them i guess. Nicely done
For those wondering about the BT hammerheads I just received mine after placing my order when I saw a release post from FB on Tuesday. The audio quality is better than the V1, never tried V2 since I switched to BT earbuds, based off of my memory. Been a while since I used them, they got soaked and died. I use the dual flange ear tips as it seems to never fall out for me and in my opinion has the best noise isolation. The magnetic shirt clip works well, stays in place while doing activities/working out/jogging. The clip is extremely convenient and comfortable, if you ever used BT earbuds with the wire that goes behind the neck you no doubt probably got annoyed by the wire shifting all the way to one side of your neck which would give you that tugging feeling on the opposite earbud. I always used to let the wire hang in front of me and loop out of my chef coat to avoid the sagging to 1 side behind the neck and even then with the looping in front of me out of my coat it would still get snagged on something occasionally. The clip makes it so the wires never end up all the way on 1 side of your neck and the wires never snagged on anything for me yet. I mostly use the Hammerhead BT earbuds at work all day, it keeps me in my own little zone except for that 1 hour when it needs to get juiced back up. I work 13 hour shifts and having to recharge only 1 time for an hour is awesome. While they are in use they have the breathing light up effect and are red while charging. The lighting eventually turns off after it's fully charged so it won't waste your power bank charge. The ear buds also don't protrude that far out of your ears. Pairing is easy and fast with my Iphone 6S. Pairs up instantly with my phone when turning them on. It also easily paired up with my Nvidia shield tablet so it shouldn't have any problems with Android phones. Also no problems connecting to my PC. Assuming it won't have problems with a Windows phone since it's based off BT. As far as lag with video it didn't seem to have any while I streamed from the Xfinity app, Youtube or Kodi on my tablet. As for range, it seems to be fine. Walked from end to end of the 2nd floor of my townhouse, roughly 35 feet and between 2 walls, without any skips or loss of connection. So far I haven't experienced any skips or lost connections, besides an occasional skip when passing a microwave being used which happens with any BT device and even then still rarely skips. It comes with a nice soft shell case that keeps everything in place and snug. I personally won't be using it though since I already have a charging case, unless if Razer comes out with a mini power bank that can recharge the buds multiple times and fit in the mesh pocket of the case. Hope this review helps some of you, I personally love these earbuds and will use them until they die or until Razer releases fully wireless earbuds that aren't ugly like the air pods or extremely bulky like all the other fully wireless ear buds out there. Can't change the colors...yet. They are supposedly coming out with a app that would let you adjust the EQ and provide firmware updates. Maybe the app will let you customize the lighting eventually but as for now they only have red while it's charging, green slow breathing effect while listening and green quick breathing effect for pairing mode. Works with PC and most likely windows phone. 1 year warranty and definitely sweat resistant. Probably not water resistant, not gonna dunk them in water to test it.
Haven't used it for in game chat, but people said it sounded fine in razer comms so I assume it would be fine for games with in game voice chats. I think you would be better off with an actual headset though, you wouldn't be able to tell where people are coming from if you're playing an fps since there is no directional sound in the BT Hammerheads. Great for music and videos, gaming not so much.
