Know I wish there was a way to make keycaps magnetic so we never have to use a key cap puller again lol.

Could we get the wristrest for V1s in the Razer store for like $10?
I, as well as many, just got the BlackWidow V1.

The "shift" word on the BW chroma lights up, so I guess they should too.
Unfortunately the space bar has 0 leds on and secondary characters aren't illuminated as well.

Heads up to anyone interested: the Orange/Yellow switch versions are now available to buy from Razer's site (at least for the US). It ships from the 30th of January. Yesterday I had signed up for the "Notify Me" when in stock and never got an email about it being in today, but maybe the email won't come until the 30th.

If you look, there is now an LED under the space bar, which was not present on the older version. However, with the stock keycaps, the secondary functions are still not visible.

I was referring to my BW Chroma since he said that older BW had no shift lights.

Unfortunately shift and function symbols are not backlit, just like on all BlackWidows. See here for more information.
LED indicators, new keycaps, wristrest, new mechanical switch, new anti-fingerprint finish.
Sorry man, that just sounds like pure bad luck. Happens to everyone. I know how you feel, I prefer stealth too.
Well I don't think Razer is pretending to be a generous company. They are just trying to thank us for helping them out.

They don't restock because they cannot be 100% sure they will win any given year. Also...they are a business. They already do a lot for their fans, much more than any other company I've followed in the past.

The CES sales didn't start as they won, but days later.
Saying "we give you discounts to celebrate and thank all our fans" seems quite an attempt on looking generous.
But hey, that's how I felt about it and what I think, nothing more.

DiabolikMind compare this to other companies who never do anything for their fans though. I don't see Apple handing out 50% off codes even though their company is hundreds of times larger than Razer?

    Why should I compare?
If someone act bad should I compare within who acted worst and conclude he acted good?
Apple has it own discounts/promotions for accessories and little things, not on mac of course (can't recall a 50% off on blade either) and Apple doesn't say "if we will win we will do sales" (kinda a bribe).
Anyway it seems like I'm always misunderstood here probably because people on here mostly is like "don't touch Razer" while I'm more critical, but still appreciate their products.
I understand it's business as stated various times, the bad move here was releasing new stuff so close to sales, I mean a month later at least would have been ok, but few days is frustrating, barely had the time to receive the shipment (imho).
And since its business I think we all expected this happening at some point but the thing that triggered me was the layout. Never had italian layout and now after years they make it 4 days after my purchase which I contacted support asking about it.
I can totally see the trollface on those snake lol :smile_:

P.S: if I use smiles do I look less aggressive? I swear that's not on purpose but I never use them from msn times and I think that's the issue o_O

Well it's not only Apple. Most PC gaming companies I've seen - ASUS, Acer, MSI, Steelseries, Corsair, Alienware, Logitech...list goes on. For me, Razer stands out among its peers because of how interactive they are with their fans. Imo, they are doing better than others in that regard. Razer rewards Insiders for contributing, fans for CES voting, and now they have zVault.
But Razer's bread and is PC peripherals. Kraken V2, Ornata, Mano'war, BW X, the broadcaster stuff - newest products all were on sale during the event. They were willing to let them all go for half off.

And let's be fair - Razer has never said "If we win we will do sales." That's just what the community says because it has happened so many years in a row. But Razer has never made a statement like that.

I think in your case, you're just a bit upset about the Italian layout. That's unfortunate. Like I said earlier, just bad luck.

    Agreed partially.

Again agreed partially since there were a lot of things out of stock or that run out immediately because almost run out of stock in various store. There were some stores with more availability and some less, that was also luck based for customers.
But still waiting a bit more to release new things (one moth?) instead of less than a week would have been ok for customers, I'm not the only one thinking that I can assure you.
Anyway hey, it's already done so...next time I'll think more before buying, thats all.

Good to hear man. You know, you can always try to sell your keyboard and then buy the keyboard you actually want now. That way you basically get whatever profit you earned from the sale discounted from the new keyboard, so it's still a nice deal.

Nice to hear you'll think more before buying. Honestly everyone should do that. Better luck for next time though!

Well I thought I already did it, but the layout came out of nowhere you gotta admit that lol
Nah, It was already too much for me but I bought it because of sales (it was already a long shot). Paying full prixe would be doing the step longer than the leg for me at the moment, can't afford that.
It was a mix of things but that's it, I hope it will go better in the future :frown_:
