Yeah, I have tried membrane keyboards, the texture still was an issue, I have tried a bunch of adaptive ones too. I need a "regular" looking feeling keyboard that is quiet and responsive as F so my low motor kids can still use it. =) tnaks!

Well finally the BW with a wrist rest eh. they should sell the wrist rest as an accessory, then could pair it up with my current BW chroma. Still running good after 2 years plus so don't think will make the switch. Definitely will wanna check out those yellow keys though.
Maybe will hold out for a BW X V2 i guess. Who knows arriving mid year? hmm..

Yeah, quotes around "regular" LOL. I think a BlackWidow looks anything but regular, but hey, whatever works for you. Just keep in mind that mechanical keyboards are never going to be absolutely silent just due to the nature of how they're made. Anyways, good luck! I hope you you find what you're looking for.
  4. Will it have italian layout with yellow or orange switches? I find the lack of layouts (especially italian one) disturbing

The v2 has the italian layout.
  6. Where? With orange or yellow switches?

When are the UK-Layouts of this keyboard becoming available and also will the yellow switches ever come in a UK-Layout?

Got my hands on the BW Chroma during the recent CES Sale, so I won't get the v2 for now.
Anyway, it's great to see improvements in both ergonomics and usability - the new switch type and the wrist rest seem to be awesome!

  9. Only the v2 with green switches seems to have Italian layout. No layout at all for the one with yellow switches and Scandinavian, German, france and us for the one with orange switches, data gather directly from razer site. I wanted to buy the v2 with Italian layout but I am searching for yellow switches or at least orange switches

I'm a UK buyer here and am looking to upgrade from a BW TE, I think the V2 is an amazing looking keyboard. I love the enclosed Chroma lighting and wrist rest, One question as many others have asked will the yellow switches be coming to UK keyboards? I hope they do as I would love to try the new switches if not I guess good old green it is.

All of them, but last time I checked were sold out. From v2 they introduced italian layout.

Nice uptake but I can't afford upgrading from v1

You don't need to have it detached though. It's magnetic like the Ornata wrist rest and feels like it too (from what ive heard)

Oooh I'm excited! This keyboard looks smexy with the wrist rest too. I'm happy they implemented that feature. The little keychain/trinket looks pretty cool too. I really like it. Hopefully I get it soon.

Yeahhhh but after all the feedback Razer still doesnt make the symbol keys lit up, why? It's not that hard, why not make the symbol keys lit through. That's really disappointing.

Actually it's not that easy because the mechanical key isn't like membrane, the light wouldn't be equally bright (the led is above the center of the key) and that compromise the whole thing.
    I'm sure they'll find a way.

Anyone can do a sound comparison between the blackwidow ultimate and the chroma v2 with orange(think they are the most silent?) keys.

With the V2 they introduced the yellow switches which are more silent than the orange ones.
You can find comparisons on YouTube, also I think there's no difference between the orange switches on V1 and V2, you can look older videos for them.
But again, yellow ones are actually the most silent switches from Razer so probably you'll want to check them out.
