May i know what are the differences between 2016's and 2015's?

  5. Not much is out but right now, I only know what they said at the top, smudge resistant (much needed and thanks), and space bar is now backlit. From the first picture it looks like they added pictures to the function keys as well but I may be wrong in that.

They are using our Razer Mechanical Greens (clicky), and Mechanical Oranges (silent but tactile).

The function keys are now backlit.

In addition, there's a cleaner looking indicator panel, and the keyboard has advanced lighting capabilities.

Would be better if it wasn't so expensive. Also amazing light effects!

Does it still have the ridiculous cable that is so thick and inflexible? That drove me to get the smaller one without the numberpad and pointless USB2 and analog passthru ports over the full size keyboard.

I like how they at least lit up the spacebar and function keys. I don't mind the loss of the macro line because I prefer the TE BlackWidows anyway. Undecided on the new chassis texture, I'll have to see what it's like in person to make a judgment.

I hope someday soon Razer decides to light the entire key so that the symbols and special characters can be lit up as well. I understand that the things preventing this from happening right are Razer using opaque keycaps and positioning the LED to the top of the mechanical switch. They should be able to light the whole entire keycap by switching to a clear/translucent plastic or by finding a way to center the LED on the switch.

Haha, I think you're in the minority. Most people I know love the braided cable. Don't feel like you made a bad decision with the Tournament Edition though. There are ton of benefits, including:
    • Mouse is placed closer to keyboard for increased ergonomics and decreased travel time between board to mouse
    • Takes up much less space on the desk because it is both thinner and shorter than the full keyboard, loses the numpad and macro line
    • Portable - has detachable USB cable & carrying case
    • Looks better than full keyboards (opinion)
    • Cheaper by $30
Do some research on TKL keyboards and you'll see that they're a great choice.

Wow seems like they addressed a lot of what Razer fans have been asking for in a new keyboard. Really Impressed. Will the New lighting effects like starlight and the moving rows be available for the Chroma Keyboard too? Will there be a New Chroma Keyboard this year?

The smudge-free coating shouldn't be looked past! Although this coating is on plastic keycaps etc, it would have been nice to see on the Blade Stealth and hopefully this year's potential Blade 2016.

The new Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2016 is actually priced below (at USD109.99) the BlackWidow Chroma, and even the previous Razer BlackWidow Ultimate.
