The iconic Razer BlackWidow now has a sexy minimalist look - meet the Razer BlackWidow X Chroma: http://rzr.to/blackwidowx

Stripped of its top, the new Razer BlackWidow X Chroma flaunts a premium metal surface. The exposed military-grade metal top mounting plate has been present in the Razer BlackWidow line since the beginning, and we realised that bringing that up opens up a new aesthetic choice for our fans.

As you run your fingers along this flirtatious new piece of tech, be reminded of why you fell in love with it in the first place — from mechanical switches designed specifically for gaming, right down to its innovative Razer Chroma lighting tech.

There’s more to that – in our constant pursuit for perfection, we’ve managed (and also thanks to our fans) to move the production of our own Mechanical gaming switches over to a dedicated production line, fully ours, that allows for better control and improved quality assessment. These switches now have a durability of up to 80 million keystrokes, with tolerance levels of close to zero.

Did we also say, that the Razer BlackWidow X line is also our most affordable premium mechanical keyboard to date?

Don’t lose your pants just because we took off our top — meet the new Razer BlackWidow X Chroma: http://rzr.to/blackwidowx

That is, without question, the cheekiest slogan for a product I've read in a long time.

Also, first comment. (I had to be that guy.)

Looks pretty amazing Razer, good job! I like that it is finally made from metal, now it will look even more badass :D Few months ago I was thinking about new keyboard that Razer could make, it could look just like new Blackwidow X but with hybrid keys so that users who like membrane keys could have even better experience :D Razer is reading my mind!
I wonder if BlackWidow X TE will have carrying case and detachable cable ;)
Anyway, I don't think I will change my lovely Blackwidow TE :D

To clarify, the standard BlackWidow is also metal underneath - this is the same mounting frame found in your BlackWidow ;)

I don't like the Chroma light ''leaking'' on the keyboard :/

In all seriousness, really Razer? "Our most affordable premium mechanical keyboard to date?" You dropped the price by a whopping $10 USD. What's $10 USD compared to non-X's $169.99 USD? While you technically can make that claim, you do not deserve to.

Oh, that's good to know! i didn't know it, I thought that there is only plastic. Then I love my keyboard even more :green_heart:

  17. This looks very nice, it's military-grade which is sort of like the Corsair keyboards, yet I'm sure Razer did a good job at this!

  18. only thing i dont like about the chroma x is they made is a single cord and there is no longer audio and mic outputs on the keyboard. everything else i love but that along keeps me at the original blackwidow. either that or make the cords on the kracken a little longer.

Is there a reason the lights looks less brighter than on the normal black widdow?
