@DogeeeXD - yup, it's metal. @sirjordancurtis - AFAIK Orbweaver (as well as the original BW Chroma) under the keys has a specially mounted white plate which helps to reflect LED lights - that element is not present in Chroma X, and that's why it's seems to be darker.
I'll be honest, after using the new BWX I kind of hope they make a stealth version as well. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did, and besides, my keyboard is only a bit over a year old and Razer keyboards last forever. However, a while of typing on the BWX and I was pretty hooked on the keyboard as a whole.... except for those annoying as hell loud switches. LOL I'm a stealth fan 100% and I even added the o-rings to my stealth keyboard. However, my son, who was previously using an old Logitech keyboard, now seems to absolutely love the Razer BWX keyboard. For a long time (at least a couple years) he told me not to buy him a razer keyboard because he liked the screen thing on his old one too much, but I think now that he's felt the new mechanical switches he's been won over.
Ah, i see now, I was being obnoxious, I should've just done the research myself like you, instead of just asking. BTdubs, thanks
Hmm i like that razer has now a more corsair look and corsair has a more razor look, more or less on both parts. But after using for a week the blackwidow tournament chorma i like it more than my k70 with red cherries. Smaller, the light is allot brighter even thoug it does not pop in my eye, the k70 was disturbing me during gaming so mostly using only reactive lighting on that, the razer does not have fake advertising with the 16 mil colors, the lights do not flicker, no light animation stutters and i definetly like i have no status leds or useless stuff for me like usb and audio which i have already from the audio card on the desk and usb for how many devies i want as i have the case close to me. But i hate it and lack random color reactive or i am just noob, and i dislike the fact that there is no reactive inter device between my deathadder chroma and the blackwidow chroma tournament, but it may be the limitation of the deathadder, in corsair had sync with the m65 but that's the worst mouse ever. Though i had to get used to the clickyness in the beggining as it caused me to tap slower as was messing with my fast presses, for me beeing used with the reds that seem to me now mushy. I tried to find the keyboard with the new 80 million actuation life switches, but no luck, and razer support suggested i was using cherries on my tournament chroma so i sent a picture if the model numer and sn was not enough that was sent already, so they just suggested to buy the x version, sadly i like the blackwidow tournament chroma more, no status leds for caps lock and stuff, it's useless on an rgb keyboard and better keyboard font and light reflection, id feel like back on my k70 and this is so much better, except visually for the fact that fingerprints and smudges get on it, it feels better, it is smaller and prettier. As an end of my story, i would just point out what i felt weird and mixed feelings about, that i can't see the firmware version, see updates or if it is up to date for the kb and mouse too, that is really weird, but unlike on my k70 that after the last update i had to unplug the keyboard from usb after every boot, and before that had to pres esc to use the kb, so their firmware updates breaks the device more and more, it is better to not see it and be able to use it, but i would like to see the version at least and manual search for update. So, go chroma tournament !
going to swap my blackwidow chroma for the blackwidow X Tournemanet chroma. Like the metal base and lifted keys look. Also no roo, for a full keyboard with my Firefly, orbweaver and naga chroma on the desk.
Team Tournament too. I had a TKL mac keyboard for a while and loved the small footprint. Went from that to a Deathstalker which is a fine keyboard but being full size made me miss the space I once had. Took me a while to adjust to having to move my right hand farther out when I first switched, I kept smacking into the keyboard all the time for a while. Just waiting for the stealth X and I'll be in business!
Well it depends on your needs and wants. I will get the TE if I need to bring it along and normal if it's going bunk it down in my house
If you are one of those people who prefer your mouse to be closer to your other hand, then definitely go with a TE. Also you get to save a lot more money. I never go with the TE since that hand issue thing doesnt bother me but its usually a factor that influences me (also the macro keys).
Would it be possible to replace my Razer Chroma TE keys with the keys of the X line? I prefer the font on the X line.
