Rocking a brand-new look, the Razer Blade Pro 17 is the ultimate on-the-go battlestation

Common sense? (-;
I doubt that. Both Asus and Acer had to move their keyboards in order to get the cooling just right. With Razers track record of updates, we're more likely to see the same old case design as before. And with that, the only hope is a 1070mq.

I got one! It's a dope power house!
You could wait and buy a refurbished unit from the RazerStore
Just FYI, the 1TB model is 400 off today on amazon.
and i believe he still dream about it... can feel u man....
I was weak. It arrives today.
What about the battery life? Will it last 5 hours light use if I undervoltage the cpu and gpu?
Almost pull the trigger, but the battery life is holding me back......
So what made Razer ditch the Switchblade UI on the trackpad? I love that feature and am kinda disappointed to not see it. Or am i missing it somewhere? I'd hate to lose it when i upgrade to a newer Blade.
Indeed, basically showing that including the i7-7820HK is pretty much useless, since under load it reaches 98 C even with turbo boost disabled.
"In a computer with the combination of a Core i7-7820HK and a GeForce GTX 1080, the cooling system needs to be more powerful."
Nice piece of hardware and design imo but lack of better cooling systems for CPU and power supply for the GPU. Well I’ll save my money for the next gen...and upcoming mobile device
Yes the design is really nice and has potential if those issues (cooling and power supply) are addressed. Well I am ignoring price for the moment...haha.
I just got my Pro from Best Buy today and I am really enjoying it so far. I'm even a fan of the trackpad placement which surprises me. But I'm curious what things I should be looking for that might be wrong with it? I plan to use this as an architecture workstation for 3D modeling. Is the RAID setup okay for that? Just want to make sure I make an informed decision on whether I keep it and sell my Macbook Pro or not. I need a reliable machine and this forum seems mixed at best.
I want to buy a new Razer Blade Pro FHD 2017 on December 1st. Will the $2K deal still be available? Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope...
No one now until when the red price deal is valid, but it’s already for a while, before other systems take same deal for this black week. If for some reason you can only get it on 1st November, hopefully it will still valid at the time.
I meant 1st December, red price means discount price.
Anyone else have a battery blowing up? This will be fun to ship back...
Oh no!!! I hope that doesn't happen to mine :-( I have often wished there was a way to just disable the battery...I almost never use it. In 6 weeks of ownership, I have probably used the battery for a total of about 4 hours. I nearly always have mine plugged in. On my last Blade, the battery started to fail after about 2 and a half years of ownership, but virtually no actual use.
