Does anyone know when will we be able to order it? Also, what about the screen Hz? is it a 60hz? more? Is anyone able to give this info? ordering it as soon as available.
Given the same MSRP and thermals, can *anyone* explain why Razer opts for the lower performance 6700HQ over the 6820HQ? http://ark.intel.com/compare/88970,88967 Less cache, lower clock, no vPro&TXT... What's the benefit? Of course, vPro&TXT requires a QM170 instead of the HM170, but those parts _also_ have identical MSRP and thermals. http://ark.intel.com/compare/90584,90583 What gives?
Economies of scale. They use the 6700HQ in the Blade, so they can order larger amounts and they don't pay full MSRP.
I will definitely buy it if: 16GB RAM instead of 32GB 2K 120HZ display instead of 4K 60HZ touchscreen An option of without mechanical keyboard PRICE BELOW 3K. Even a price below 2700 at the price of changing 1080 to 1070. But now, i would definitely not buy it. Wasting the money on the RAM and display, plus i don't care about the mechanical keyboard and also I really doubt the feeling of the "Ultra-Low-Profile"keyboard. UNLESS I win a lottery.
The specs are definitely amazing, but I would not spend 4000€ for a laptop, just because it is not modular and I wouldn't be comfortable with carrying such an expensive laptop with me while traveling So I'd wish they would give us more options to make it kind of cheaper like less ram, 2k screen, no touch pad chiqlet keyboard and maybe a version with a 1070 or 1060 So like a normal blade but with a 17.3 screen, for people who think 14. is too small
If I buy more of one item, I get a larger discount. Razer can buy more of the 6700HQ as they already purchase it for the Blade. This way, they get more of a discount.
Ah, you mean that way... I see... Of course, the same applies to the Blade proper as well (and, I seem to recall that I was also complaining when that one was released). Once they committed on the Blade it makes sense to continue on the Pro, BUT: why do you think they opted for the lesser parts in the first place?
I think the Blade 14" is what drove the decision. That form factor sells a LOT more than the Pro, as it is cheaper, and thermally I think the 6700HQ is a better option for the 14". Once they locked in to ordering, say, 35k CPU's from Intel it's not hard to order an additional 10k for a slightly cheaper price.
Rejoice my North American brethren, we envy you... Meanwhile in Europe we have been blessed with the release of the Stealth/Blade version 1. Yayyy Edit: seems to just be last gen Stealth.. Hmm
This thing looks awesome. Hopefully the price isn't too out of this world. I may sell my other laptop to use as a down payment.
Yea not a big fan of the touch screen, extra uneeded feature+cost in the setup. As others have stated i'd rather have 2k 120hz than 4k 60 for this size screen. And why go full out gsync when you cant get more than 60hz on the screen?
