The Razer Blade Pro

    has anybody had their Blade Pro hard crash and turn off while gaming? Mine did it 5 times in 2 hours while playing Diablo 3 LAN with my buddy

    Yeah, many people has this error.


    Now I see last chance for RBP - its turn off RAID0 and try IF it crash or something or not. Need to turn off RAID0 and test it for a week with not shut down, just push it hard :D

    And where is Razer official statement about this *little* issue with 4000$ notebook. :big_grin_:

    Interesting. It wouldn't do that with Battlefield 1 I played with him for hours after that, maxed out in 4K. I did let the machine cool down a bit. I also retried Diablo 3 in 4k, this time realizing I had 4K setting set to 4K with 29fps, not the 59fps 4k setting in the menu. Didn't crash after that. I've had Alienware's M17s and Aorus X7 Pro-sync's before this RBP and have never had a hard crash like the one I had. It's very disconcerting

    If anything Drive 0 (C: ) would be under the most load since this is where I installed the OS. But it was Drive 2 (D: ) which got hotter. Drive 2 (D: ) is also the one with compromised write speeds. And the temps were taken while running the same tests in Crystal Diskmark so in theory the drives would be under comparable loads. So, to your original point- these two drives were in a RAID 0 and from what I can tell one of them performs at a significantly lower level.

    Zero issues since I got rid of the RAID (although I'm only a coupe days in). I am sorely temped to keep the laptop and see how it fares. Down the line I would just be swapping out the drives anyway. Other than the periodic crashing (and a couple other small issues) I have loved everything about this laptop. Sigh.

    You do nice research work, thx!

    Swap SSDs for test speed and stability nice idea, maybe you close to answere where is problem and how to fix it.

    Pls report if you find something, or have/dont have errors. Many people as we can see have this issue, so its important to have solution for this problem.

    I really wish Razer would post something on this thread to let us know that they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

    are you talking about the crash to power off issue? How many on this board/thread have it? I will contact Razer about it again. They did give me an RMA number to exchange it, but if everyone has it, why exchange it??? I love this laptop otherwise. I really want it to work nicely.

    I've been gaming for many hours and days on my RBP and never had a single crash in any game.

    I was referring to the SSD failures, which a number of people have experienced.

    i don't have any links about it. I just came on here to see if anyone else has experienced the crash to power off issue that I had. I don't know whether to RMA it back to Razer or not. If no one else is experiencing it, it might be just my RBP

    Finally got a replacement machine from RMA, let's see if this one holds up :)

    I contact Razer support abot my sudden shut downs, and guess what? They act like its all ok with their Razer Blade Pros and only I have this issue and advice me use recover mode.
    They do pc that worth 4000$ with mass deffect units (that pc total sell not many) and advice use recovery mode, when promblem is in their hardware and software. Yesterday I have 4 shut downs in 5 min in Diablo 3 (ultra graphic hard game lol) I very like how RBP performs lol.

    In this case, if you have not already, I would kindly advise you to perform a Windows recovery of your Blade Pro system. Please note that this will wipe personal data.


    To do so, restart your computer and press F9, during the booting process repeatedly to enter to the Recovery mode. This should present you with the recovery screen, follow the instructions on the screen to perform it.


    Please, let us know the results of the tests and, if you have any other questions, please, don't hesitate to contact us again.
