Hey guys, can anyone offer up some advice? I ordered the stealth yesterday, and received the confirmation page and my card was charged, but I never got a confirmation e-mail. Did this happen to anyone before? Thanks

It has happened to me, sometimes the confirmation email comes late the next day. Patience :)

I just ordered my core! Yay!

My current GPU is the Nvidia 980Ti Hybrid -- I know that it won't fit out of the box. I'm thinking about cutting part of the frame to make it fit, like the picture.

I'm having trouble finding any pictures of the inside of the frame -- can anyone who has the core take a picture from the other angle (from the power connectors towards the thumb screws) so I can see how that section of the frame is attached?

Just as a heads-up there's going to be a new wave opening up shortly, less than an hour - sorry for the last minute update.

Do note that you will be ordering through Back-Order so do take note of the ship dates that your Razer Core will be going out (we're fulfilling on a first come first served basis).

I believe we're mostly up-to-date with notifications, do sign up to be notified directly on RazerStore when they will be available again.

Is the Core g-sync compatible? As in, if I slap a GTX 1080 in a core and connect it to my Asus PG279Q, will I get g-sync?

And is there an alternative to the .5m Thunderbolt cable length without sacrificing speed/quality? I really need a 1m cable length or this whole thing just doesn't work.

Gsync capability depends on your graphic card. Not what enclosure/case it is in. So yes if you put a 1080 in you will get gsync (provided the monitor is gsync capable as well).

Currently no longer cable available that will be able to provide the same bandwidth. You could go for a longer one but expect performance drop and not being to make full use of the 1080's gpu power

Yes, but only if you plug the monitor directly into the card. If plug the monitor into the system you can still use the Core, but gsync will not work.

I was planning on laptop -> core -> monitor/keyboard/mouse. But I need the core to be more than .5 meters away. It's gotta sit under the desk, so the cable needs to be 1m.

Can a 1m Thunderbolt handle the video if there's no other data throughput?

No. You'll need an active cable.

I'm new to Thunderbolt and this whole idea.

So, a 1m "active" Thunderbolt 3 cable WILL allow me to connect the Razer Core to a Razer laptop with the full 40Gbps and work JUST like a .5m passive cable?

I just really want to confirm this before I spend $2000!

Startech has some Active Thunderbolt 3 cables.
BUT! only the 0.5cm version is 40Gbps, the longer ones are only 20Gbps.(1m or 2M)

Looked so great I ordered one - unfortunately had to RMA that same day, battery totally non-functional. Lots of threads on poor QA/QC with several folks reporting 4 to 5 RMA's. Wish I had researched better prior to buying, very concerned that QA/QC at Razer is for the systems is not up to par.

I can't actually find any "active" Thunderbolt 3 cables (which are supposed to support 40Gbps for up to 2m long). Has anyone actually found these?

    didnt you see my reply?

It appears that 2m AND 40Gbps does not exist yet!

Yes MrOzzy, I saw your reply and I appreciate it. My confusion comes with the idea that some cables are active and others are passive. I understood that StarTech doesn't carry longer active cables, and that it "appears" that longer active cables do not exist yet.

I'm trying to verify if they exist elsewhere, and if not, when might they exist. I was hoping someone had some definitive insight into this.
