Razer Cortex: Booster Prime Beta - Special version for PUBG PC gamers
Discussion in 'Systems' started by technokat, Jan 5, 2016.
Do you think the core would support GTX 1080 aftermarket with dual 8-pins?
Doesn't look like the core can handle GPUs with extra large shrouds like the ACX cooler or Strix cooler, so as long as its reference height it should be fine
Nvrmind I found out that it has two 6 pins along with two 2 pins, so it should be fine.
I know someone said the Classified card wouldn't fit, but can we confirm that absolutely no ACX cards will fit in the Core? That would seem like a very big oversight if the only thing that fits in this is reference cards.
When does the core come out?
I just received my core today, but I have no graphics card to go in it yet.
Heads up...Newegg has evga founders edition 1080's I'm stock.
Aaaand they are gone
Not true, somebody had a ACX 980ti card they used in the core, but just needed elbow adapters for the power pins.
just wait for couple of weeks and all online shop should have ready stock
based on the benchmarks im seeing, we don't have as much to worry about with the thunderbolt 3 connection as we originally hypothesized. The bottlenecking doesnt seem too significant if you use an external display
Can you link anything regarding the core + stealth + 1080? I'm curious regarding the bottlenecking with regards to the 1080, on the 980ti, it's barely 5% based on what I've found, but I'd expect the 980 to be less bottlenecked than the 1080.
Regarding the Razer Core stock do we know when these will be restocked? I just ordered my New Blade 14 512GB and my $100 voucher says it's good until June 17th, 2016. I ordered the New Blade over the previous strictly for the Razer Core.
Nobody knows...nobody. we have all asked several times. No "Razer Insider" information on that im afraid.
Just got my Razer Blade Stealth yesterday and i'm already in love. So much fun to use and looks beautiful.
Hey guys, did you get something in the mail/e-mail for your Razer Core credit? I see it on my order receipt but I don't see anything about an expiration. Is it just the code on my order receipt?
@codyzhao1992 I have my code in an email...yet i noticed mine doesnt show a expiration date. No idea. Ive yet to be able to order it, just sitting here with my expensive ultrabook..
I had an RBS preorder, and on the day the core pre-orders opened I got the mail with this as the title:
"Presenting the Razer Core. Your exclusive offer inside."
It lists my code at the bottom and has marked "*Valid through June 17 2016"
I missed the pre-order periods before. In the first pre-order period, units were sold out by the time I received my coupon code, and when it opened again, it seriously opened and sold out all in the time that I was sleeping (I live in Japan currently, so it was the middle of the night for me).... so I'm just mashing F5 now, 'cause I really want to get this order in when the page goes up.
Mine says June 17th also, I hope they give us more time since the core is not available yet.
I talked to a rep yesterday they they said that we should expect it to me up again at the latest, end of june. When I asked about them reissuing the code, there was no straight answer so only time will tell whats going to happen with that
