hey guys, im wondering weather the stargazer is worth the 150 asking price and is the background removal anygood?

i have already purchased this item but after watching reviews and youtube ect this items seems to be a piece of crap and well over priced for the quality it gives off, thus my reason for this thread... id like to hear from the actual razer community before cancelling my order.

    Thanks Regards Luke

Why would it be a piece of crap?

The camera is the best one you can find on a webcam, recording in 720p60 or 1080p30.
I think only Logitech has a webcam that can compete with that.

The build quality from what I've heard is sturdy and durable.

As for the dynamic background removal it's sure not as good as a greenscreen, but it's meant for people that don't have the space, or don't want the hassle of having a huge greenscreen in their room. It does well when you put it in a corner of a video, and I would say for that use the background glitches are tolerable.

Why would you say it's overpriced tho?

These are not my personal opinions, they are from youtube reviews, thus why i am asking the razer community.

Thank your for your response i shall be for filling my order with your confidence.

If you're going for the stargazer make sure there's enough lighting. It isn't a piece of crap it's just overpriced, however you do get the dynamic background software. That's something logitech won't offer.

I'd say if you don't have a webcam or a green screen then it would be a good deal cause green screens are kinda expensive also if your not going to use that mode then it is kinda rip off

Does it also support green screen too, like usual cams...

    Thanks for the updates.

It supports green screen but the software makes it, that you don't need a green screen

There is a review of the Logi 922 vs the stargazer. Stargazer is a bit darker but better green screening so it is my choice in the matter

Once I got better lighting the dynamic background removing works really well, just my headphones kinda glitch in and out. The Stargazer is the only cam I've ever had, but I really like it's really good.

Green screens are expensive? They are on Amazon for as low as $16. The expensive part would be if you want the backdrop stand and full lighting kit.

They are good, I haven't tested back ground removal yet but I paid $50 for mine off of ebay brand new, they front piece of it can scratch very easily from what I have found.
