The price seems initially high but when you factor in gaming mouse and gaming keyboard, it's not bad at all. I would have liked the option for plug in model with lighting. I would use this in my basement and would need to be able to see. I'm assuming this is a smaller than normal keyboard which would make it difficult to use in the dark when your used to full size. That being said, I plan to buy one the moment I see it on sale or with a razer freebie.
Has anyone else had a problem where the Razer Turret (keyboard and mouse) would lose Bluetooth connection after a couple mins even while in use? I have been noticing this every day now, I'll be using it and all of a sudden it would loses connection and it's starting to get frustrating.
I like the razer turret. Its a light weight keyboard mouse combo for living room/couch use. Was looking at the corsair lapdog, kinda bulky but has more features. Maybe a future turret will have the full sized mechanical keyboard. One addition though for most lap table kinda devices I always have. When you put it aside the mouse always slides or drops somewhere. Should implement a holder for the mouse. Yeah you could dock it when not in use but if the dock is all the way at the tv and you just want to put the turret aside, the mouse is not secured on the turret. Though its a good peripheral for some light gaming on the tv.
Been using this for the last two weeks and it's working so well. The only thing for me is that the mouse pad seem to be quite small. Also putting the mouse for charge sometimes doesn't work due to its seating position on the charger.
I agree it doesnt scream "gamer optimized" but it definitly makes couch browsing 1000% more simple and it has the mark of a gamer. Tbh everything we do needs to have the mark of a gamer. (My fricken calculater has the razer logo on it lmao)
Hey Guys need a bit of advice on the turret, mine came yesterday and couldn't be happier with it,perfect in every way. When charging it I noticed that when charging the mouse the red light would flash as standard but after about 15-20 mins it would go dark completely. I assumed initially that this would mean its charged but the manual states a full green light. After taking out an placing back in the charger it started charging again? The keyboard was totally fine, charged right up to a green light. On checking synapse even with no flashing lights it seemed to recognise the mouse charging. Only thing I can think of is when initially putting the battery in I was under the impression you had to remove the pull tab so used a bit of force only to end up snapping it off the perforated edge. Does this connect to anything deeper in the mouse which would effect the charging or LED?
I've heard conflicting stories about the keyboard. Someone posted that it is backlit and another said that it is not. Can anyone confirm this? Is the keyboard in fact a backlit lighting keyboard?
It looks so pretty! I might buy it if I earn the 20 dollar credit from the forums! I am in awe of the beauty of the Turret, however I wish there was a slightly less expensive option that did not include the Orochi, for people who already have it (or want to try the Mamba with it). There could've also been a bit more expensive of an option that had some back lighting!
I honestly think that it would be good to have the option of interchangeable keycaps like the BlackWidow so you could have whatever color you wanted.
The only thing that really sucks about this is that the keys are not backlit. Nor are they anywhere near as bright as the picture suggests. Somewhat misleading and not as good in dimly lit rooms as a result.
dude that is really useful, especially if you don't like sitting right next to the screen when gaming.
