This Phone is awesome, and the upgrade to Oreo 8.1 is just amazing and every small doubt I even had just disappeared in a blink of an eye!

Edit: HDR on Google camera isn't so good, it's yellowish on low light environment.
Edit: Found version that not yellowish on HDR, I'll check the difference...Is it legal by the way, installing directly from somewhere without through AppStore;)

You, are what the young people say "cray cray". This is by far leaps and bounds above any phone I've ever had. I can't even begin to compare them to this since it's so advanced. I agree the price is pretty high, but they could have made it iphone x or pixel 2 xl expensive. I'm glad they did not.

No one is stating facts. We are stating personal experience with the device. I have had zero issues with anything people complain about. Half the things people complain about are known before buying the phone. Everyone wants OLED, well it is clear it is an IPS display. Everyone wants a headphone jack, well it is clear it has no headphone jack. People just want to complain sometimes. There are lots of people that buy all types of phones and still complain. Some people, for some reason that alludes me, have this entitled attitude and feel that even if they know something lacks, they buy it and expect it not to lack. This is what the company sold, and it is what you bought. they didn't advertise one thing and sell you something else. Specs are right there in clear print.

If these people think they can do better, I dare them to go make a phone.

The battery in my hundred-dollar LG Fiesta LTE is a tiny bit bigger - 4200mAh, I think - and I leave the tethering chip on 24/7 to feed wireless to my laptop and Xbox. Plus I play Futurama and Pokemon Go on it, and it still takes most of the day to drain the battery. And with the current generation of fast-chargers, it usually takes only an hour and a half to go from dead to full charge.

Maybe plug it in before you go to sleep? Or grab a Power Bank or three if you stay on it all day and can't be bothered to charge it ever.

All of the issues the OP is running into could easily be taken care of it he read online about any issues the phone runs into. Camera software is an issue but there are a few APKs you can download to alleviate some issues. You can dive further into the settings of those apps tweaking the camera experience further. As for battery life... don't leave the phone running 120fps with full brightness and maxed processor speed all day.

Too bad Tizen is not widely used, Nokia killed MeeGo long ago with Jolla Sailfish taking its place and Microsoft had just put Windows 10 Mobile on maintenance mode so Android is Razer's only OS choice.

Windows 10 Mobile wasn't popular. MeeGo not popular. Tizen now popular. Blackberry damn near died. The mobile industry around these parts comes down to Android or iOS. And for any phone maker that isn't Apple, the only option is Android. Amazon couldn't get their own phone to sell. Didn't Facebook try a phone? For what it is, Razer nailed their first attempt at a phone.

I've been using HD camera pro works well as does snap camera, open camera from Marc Harman on the play store works well too, most of these won't use the second lens but they still take good pics using the available hardware, headphones I have hammerhead USB-C's they kick ass, cranked up premature deafness will be a visitor. There are software issues with the phone that they do need to address and the fact they have gone really silent and barely mention the phone anymore on their fb page is a little concerning.

Seeing how this is a faster phone than the new snapdragon 845's, I'll keep it. It freakin rocks. Need facts? Read more.

These were the major issues which I think flopped for the Razer Phone

    1. Maximum brightness too low for a phone (Literally in sunny days phone is unusable outside)

    2. Due to Heat/Thermal issue, screen brightness automatically decreases on a already dim screen (Nightmare)

    3. Heat issue freezes one side of the screen (Not confirmed whether Hardware or Software defect)

    4. Quick Charge 4+ (Quick Charging works upto first 25% only and the remaining 75% is slow charging)

    5. Variable refresh rate issue which causes stutter/lag during games/videos

    6. Bluetooth, Wifi & Hotspot connectivity issues

    7. Speakers Volume reduced after two updates to lower/avoid crackling sounds

Loads of people also got these issues

    - Fingerprint Scanner not working or delay in response
    - NFC not working properly
    - Vertical grey lines appear on screen
    - Proximity Sensor issues
    - SD Card issues
    - Power Button Lag/Delay
    - Bad Vibration Motor
    - Screen Flickering

I've not mentioned the camera because that is a complete flop itself in its category. Very poor camera overall and I do not agree that google camera port makes it any better.

If Razer fixes all of these issues for Razer 2, then I will consider it. But Razer currently have flopped on this phone sorry to say.

1,2,3,5,6 you can send it for repair since I don’t have that issues. Also what you resumed from poeple issues, there’s support for that. About the Camera, for my snap shot it’s okay even my Apple phone has better stabilization, I don’t expect it as I don’t expect Nintendo Switch has a good camera. The down side for me it has no FaceTime function;) Well for first gen Phone it’s not bad at all imo, of course if they put more attention on software (update and new cortex) and hardware (pheriperal etc) development, it’ll be better.

this came from people who expect a perfect phone which he will never get... even if he got iphone x or pixel 2xl or asus rog or xiaomi blackshark or galaxy s9 plus, he will still get something to complain about the phone....

unless you bring the accurate data, from all the phone that has been sold how many persentage of that sold phone that got the defect that you mention above? if the persentage below 95% then your claim is worth to look, if not then it is just your subjective claim.... all that issues not come from one phone, but it's collective from every phone that been sold, some got issues on brightness and some not depend on that person preference.... and you not even using the razer phone and still say that it is flopped.... coming from someone who just talk and not experiance it.... *micdrop*

I can not buy another phone now... And I do not want to... A guy I knew saw that I have the Razer Phone, I know he is always trying out new phones etc. Right now he has a One Plus 5T...

We used for a bit each other's phones... You all know the feeling... 120Hz vs 60Hz... So I pretended trying out how fast his phone is, by opening plenty of random apps and try to look amazed and amazed, making some unexpected noises, so he doesnt get sad...

There is no phone like Razer Phone...

No phone exist that you let you game an entire afternoon without going into fumes during the night without charging it. Especially if you play heavy resource games like PUBG mobile or Vainglory/mobile legends.

As a 8am -5pm worker, I sometimes game during lunch (noon) or during the morning and mid afternoon tea breaks. If I don't charge my phone during work hours (for example, long meetings, going to site or off site depending on your job nature and many other situations that prevent me from accessing a charge outlet). I will be looking at a phone with less than 15% battery life around 6:00pm and making life hard for me if I have dates or other outdoor arrangements for the night time.

Do you not want the razer products you buy to be ACTUALLY GOOD instead of just an overpriced item with a logo on it ? I do own a razer phone, I was singing praises of it and introducing the brand to people who can't tell the difference between a micro usb and type-c usb charge cable and just call them Samsung chargers and/or Huawei chargers for goodness sake.

I used WAS cuz that was in the past, after 6 months of use, I am very disappointed because the phone is degrading faster than expected, many issues are popping up and the 120hz screen stopped working (had to go down to 90hz), I am not alone and many others are complaining about it too.

I am a heavy power user of my phone, I install many apps on it (some for professional use like autocad to view .dwg files and etc). Multiple proxy apps since I go in and out china often (google services don't work in china so I have to install many variations of similar services, like baidu map, mi apk store and etc.). This phone can't take it but I expected it to since iphones can.

If it sucks we have to acknowledge it, that's how to bring the brand forward, not defending it to the death.
