Thresher 7.1 for PS4 randomly beeps and sometimes turns off

Hi,

I recently bought a Thresher 7.1 for PS4, and overall it is a fantastic headset. However, occasionally it emits a beep similar to the one it emits when being turned on, for apparently no reason (it looks like this other issue). Even worse, sometimes it simply turns off out of the blue (fortunately, these events are rare). I would say the random beeps usually occur 2-3 times on a 4h gaming session, and the random shutdowns occur once every 5-10 gaming sessions.

Is this a known issue? Is there anything I could do (firmware upgrades or something similar)? I am currently sitting right in front of the console, about 4m away from it. The USB dongle is in one of the front USB ports, which means I am looking right at it.

That's tough. Do you get the same results when on a PC? In any case, do send me a PM with the serial number of your headset so I can look into model-specific fixes.
Thanks for your reply. I have never tried it on a PC, so I really can't tell, sorry (also, PC runs Linux, so, no luck there). I am not sure which number you want exactly (P/N?), so I will send you a photo, hope that helps. If you need any additional info, please let me know.

I'll need the S/N and just a heads up, you'll need a Windows PC to update the firmware if we find one that could fix this particular issue.

I have sent you a PM with all the numbers I could find -- including S/N. As for using Windows to upgrade the firmware, don't worry, I'll find a suitable PC to do it. Thanks for the heads up anyway 😉
