First off, my title was changed a few days ago from "New Member" to "Member", but it's dumb if I'm limited how much I can post. I type really fast, so it doesn't take me any time to type something up of contribution to a conversation. I never just post filler comments or spam, and I never post stuff like "Take my money" or "lol" as a whole post. I even pay attention to not double posting. I get that the system is trying to prevent people for spamming to up their comment count, but I'm making real posts, so I shouldn't be punished like this.

It's just a 10 minute thing, I had the same problem.

Yeah. It is only ten minutes, but I wish that there was some kind of way to verify the posters integrity so that thats no longer an issue.

Not that it does you any good, but I believe the more you contribute and the higher the rank goes the more often you can post. I could be mistaken there, but I think it might be the case. I used to have the problem back in the beginning of Insider as well. It can be inconvenient, but there's nothing stopping you from using multiple windows, typing up your good responses and then just leaving that window open to hit "Reply" at a later time after the timer has run out. You can save multiple windows open at a time like that if you need to. hehehe

I have never ha a problem with this when I was still a "New Member" but that is just me though. I do not have much to add because most of the time I am as clueless as the person asking. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ya it is a massive pain. I don't log on to post every day, but when I do I like to contribute to more than a few posts and I get hit with that warning all the time. It is utter nonsense and I have been a member since insider started.
  8. It's strange because i have been a member of razer insider for a long time, yet i still got the "New Member" title.

o_O when? I have never encountered such an issue since the beginning and you know how much I used to post back then.
The system was introduced recently due to increased spamming to 120 for rewards.

Haha. Yeah thanks. I copied the link in a notepad window and copy pasted my response in there so I could come back later. Hopefully you're right about the member status and contribution limits! This is a cool place. I talked about it at a party I was at last night.

Mmm, maybe a few months in? Though, the warning I got was that you could not post more than every 30 seconds. Mind you, it's possible I read differently, which was conducive to posting quickly.

I open the main page and click "Forums" then leave that open, pick which forum I want and open it in a new tab, then scroll to the oldest post that I haven't read completely and from there start opening new tabs for every thread, oldest to newest. I usually have roughly 8 -10 open, work my way through them and then "refresh" the forum page so that they're all marked as 'read' then I open the next 8-10 tabs and repeat until every thread is read in every forum from top to bottom.

haha i love that you have a strategy to forum posting, but it sounds like a good one! I think I just type really fast, and move my way down the forums pretty quickly, but I haven't received that message in a pretty long time now. Back in the day (when it wasn't AS lame), I used to get banned on 4chan for "spamming" just because I type fast and post fast.

Hmmm, never had this problem myself and I used to post a lot more than I do now. To be honest though, it's hard to strike the balance you are asking for. They need restrictions in place to stop the post-spamming newbies and 'verifying the poster's integrity' is actually a lot more complicated of a problem than one might initially think. There's just simply a ton of factors that go into it. The system as it is now obviously isn't perfect, but we have to deal with it until they come up with a better one. There was talk a while back about considering more than just posts for the Rewards, such as likes, followers, etc. I'm sure you wont have to worry about this problem for much longer because you'll get more 'posting rights' after you reach a certain point.

Oh really? Average WPM? Care to race me sometime :rocket::smiling_imp:?

There are a lot of people trying to spamm to get the Rewards. I guess it's a good thing.

I had this problem also when I was a new member.

It;s just to prevents bots or people trying to spam and get post count up high fast.

Just have multiple tabs up, and written down before posting. then go to each tab after 10 mins to post them.

Tedious, but if you want to contribute then there is no other way

haha I'd love to race sometime. I don't know an actual number though unfortunately, but I'd love to run a test to see.

Let's go! I'm in with you and @Raijin! You can practice on {http://play.typeracer.com/}!

Side Note: I type slower than a baked sloth with mom-typing syndrome so don't expect much. I have a mechanical and still can't beat 60.

Haha good luck! I want to be able to reach the 100 mark one day. But to that day, I will do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and run 10 km every single day!
I hope someone gets that reference. Plz. Lol.

Oooooh, thats a tough workout! I think I'll watch 100 episodes of goku and krillen training and hopefully it will rub off on me. I think that if I was typing my own OC, I could type tremendously faster than I typed on the website.
