    Hey Rebels,

We would like to sincerely thank all of you for using Smart Storage. The Smart Storage service will, however, be ending on March 1st, 2018.

What happens on March 1st, 2018:

If you haven’t signed out of Smart Storage, you will be automatically logged out of our servers. Images (thumbnails in gallery) and apps (cloud icons on launcher) that are archived and are not local to the phone will not be accessible through your phone anymore. This includes Apps in the FAB tab. All the images that are backed up until that point will be available on our tools https://cloud.nextbit.com. Only the content that is local will be accessible from the phone at that point.

If you want to keep app data, be sure to restore all of your apps manually, and pin them to prevent them from being offloaded.

Until the service completely ends, we have worked very hard to provide you a way to download your pictures. This is now available at https://cloud.nextbit.com. You have the option to select images individually or download all as a large zip. Please note that the download speed depends on your internet connection. Please use the same account to login as you have used on your Robin phone.

We plan to keep this tool active until April 1st, 2018. After that, all the personal information and data that has been collected from you will be purged and we won’t be able to recover your data. However, information that must be stored in accordance with applicable laws and regulations will be stored for the period specified by the relevant laws and regulations and then disposed of immediately.

Thank you so much for supporting our team and Robin.

That's appreciable. Please provide an ETA for Android 8.0(if it's happening) and security patches.

  4. Thanks for providing it early enough, can we get a note on whether we are getting android oreo update or not

  5. While thankful that this option is available I'm somewhat surprised to find that there is nothing in my cloud beyond September 2017. I don't know where everything else went but it saves me the trouble of downloading anything.

If it wasn't for the random shut downs I'd still be using my Robin. Loving my new OnePlus 5t.

Actually I think most of us are not really looking for a way to "get back" the photos, but if there is any method to keep the smart storage function with other clouds.
For example, if the backend of the "smart storage" can be modified to utilize MEGA, Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.

Hi. I've asked this before but I'll repeat myself here and I ask you to answer me, @Khanger.

So, if you're shutting down your servers, why not to open the API of Smart Storage or get it available to change the endpoint server to let us "rebels" to set up our own Smart Storage server? I find it very convenient to back up my apps and the whole Smart Storage thing is quite nice.

Please, publish a version of Smart Storage that give us an ability to change the endpoint server and open its API
, let us continue to use our Robins on their full power.

    Thank you in advance.

    @Khanger, hello, please answer us,
I will say the same thing as @densetos,
I give you your chance, and help you from kickstarter, don't let us down open the API or update the smart storage to modify the endpoint server I can use my onedrive or Mega, smart storage is the main frame of this phone, don't kill it.

please don't let us in the dark and ignorance

    thank you for your time

@Khanger, will you respond us ever or will you ignore us hard? That's unfair from you.

  14. Really unusual for @Khanger to not respond like this.

    Kinda disappointing.

It is disappointing but there maybe a surprise for us which they don't want to ruin @Khanger @mltan

  16. I'm all for surprises! Hopefully that is the case. @Khanger

Smart Storage is not just simply a storage, so we are not looking for "getting back" the files.
Rather, if it can support other kind of storage such as MEGA, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. while keeping the "Smart" behavior such as detecting unused software and backup to cloud, it will be very great.

@Love46patel I was trying to say that the sign in with Google button was not appearing on my desktop. I tried it on the Robin and it was there.

Hello, I just noticed the announcement about Smart Storage (buried in my email), I tried downloading all of my data but it's not working. Has the ability to download everything been stopped prematurely? If i try to download singular images it loads for aeons and then goes to '502 bad gateway' and if i try to download all it says 'failed - network error' in my browser... when trying to download directly on my Robin the download just keeps pausing itself and never goes anywhere, hoping to be able to get everything back in my gallery...
