Recently I went on a mini-vacation. With the pandemic and all, travel has been difficult, but outdoor recreation has been a great way to escape. I spent some time in the mountains which was great for my soul and a really good way to get off-grid and decompress. As a kid I was exposed to the Great Outdoors so it's been something I've always enjoyed. I love my tech, don't get me wrong. I love my games, my computers, my internet and my gadgetry and toys, but every so often I need a good dose of the analog and take in Mother Nature.

What about you, Insiders? Do you have another means of escape outside of gaming? I'd love to hear your answers. Like and comment for a chance to win the weekly random Silver and another two will be chosen for their answers.

if it werent for the pandemic, I'd be in hawaii for our yearly vaca

It is GLORIOUS, to go out on a hike to the middle of no where, and have no cell phone reception (disconnect from the world, no news, no social media, no work emails, nothing)

I firmly believe every one should give this a try (disconnect from tech, just for 1 day!)

I was a barista before. Besides gaming, I like to brew a nice cup of coffee to make myself relax during work from home period.

Also, recently, I am learning video editing to promote my favorite game which is not noticeable to the public.
It quite fun but require a lot of time to search for the effects.

Eating is perhaps the best way beside gaming lol

We went on a hiking trip in the highest mountain here in our country but the mountain is a bit angry and gave us difficult winds and rain. it was my first time but i would love to try again and reach the top next time

My "escape" from gaming? It's everywhere when you can touch, feel and be part of every little thing that's around you.💚 And obviously for me to capture some of those moments on photos. 📷☺😅

Hello friends,

I prefer holidays by the sea, sunbathing, boat parties, swimming.
Otherwise the rest of the year when I am in Paris, I have a passion for dance (salsa, pole dance), I also practice yoga, fitness, shopping, watching series. I also like sewing and cooking. It is so much better to prepare your meal and it completely takes the stress out of work.
It is really important to have varied hobbies.
Finally, putting everyone in agreement, the activity that we all prefer outside of gaming is to kiss our boyfriend. ^ _ ^

The beach is good, and fairly convenient here.

Working out, going out with friends, and going to the beach for a dive.

Those are things I do for recreation and to keep myself entertained during the summer.

A bit uncertain about taking a vacation at the moment. I hate wearing a mask and I can't just go to a Greek island and walk around with a muzzle.

I really want to enjoy vacations with my pets. I miss my 2 cats so much and Covid delayed all of my travel plans so now I have to wait even longer to see them.

Simply a vacation with my lovely family 💖

I've always been a gamer and always will be.
But over time I spend more time with my family (father's duty and pleasure) than I play.
Recently I've started to go hiking with my children (accomodated to their level) and they seem to like it a lot so for them to not be bored, I search on the Web some orientation run to vary our outdoor sessions.
Part 1:
Hmm means of escape...
Okay, So first of all ...I'm OCD freak kinda thing :DDD
I LOVE throwing stuff out ... it's so therapeutic for me... It's like a soul cleansing thing :D
I also relax by cleaning and organizing to perfection.

Also now and then when I'm lazy I go to one of my other hobbies: mixology
For me there's nothing better than sunbathing on your porch/terrace in a Sunday afternoon with glass of "whatever you feel like it" in the summer or getting cozy watching tons of tv series on Netflix next to your fire place with a glass of Hot Chocolate + Baileys or Linden Tea + Bourbon/Scotch in the winter. :3

I was fortunate enough to have grown up in the country so I got to experience the same type of connection with nature. It's so nice to be able to go out and endure the elements sometimes. Especially now to get away from the city. My type of get away is to ride my motorcycle and decompress. Photography is another enjoyment. Riding to a destination to take photos is a great way to get out and disconnect for a while.

Oh yeah, i always preferred to go mountain tripping too, whenever i got the time and cash. I like it better than going out to the sea side and sun bathing. There are a lot of great places to visit and take a walk through.

Part 2**:
As for traveling:
I have started my journey towards the "100 Tourists Sites of Bulgaria" with a travelogue thingy and some cute little stickers I mark the places I've been to :3
And last but not least ever since i was a teen, I became huge fan of Van Gogh's work so I enjoy going to galleries where there are pieces of his work such as National Gallery in London, Musee d'Orsay in Paris and my lifetime dream is to manage to go to MOMA in NYC * fingers crossed*

**It didn't let me finish the post, so this is the continuation xD
I'm happy you guys have options.
Ever since the COVID19 pandemic started, I've been married to my job. I work in ER as dispatcher as well as a head nurse in a hospital and also at a private medical center... so when i juggle between 3 jobs my shifts would sometimes overlap and end up in 1 gigantic 48hours straight shift :D
So my escape from job/life is me playing games with my kid. A way to be interested as a parent as well as having some fun.
Mountain hiking for sure. Knowing how to balance working out, taking in fresh air is key to not destroying your body via the hundreds of weekly hours modern man ends up spending at his PC.
Fencing for me. (the sport lol) nothing gets the blood pumping like 2 dudes trying to stab eachother
