I just finished the Attack on Titan story (manga) and I'm not sure how I feel about it. The writing has always been terrible, especially if you're reading translations, but the world itself was very intriguing and terrifying so I was into it. The story also went in directions I never imagined and I'm a sucker for plot twists so I still enjoyed the journey overall.

This week's Thread of the Week is super easy. Without spoilers, share your favorite game story of all time and why it shook you to the core. Like and comment for a chance at the weekly "Great" achievement. Other good responses may get the repeatable "Nice" achievement as well.

The game that impacts me the most is called "Fairyland". It is actually sourced from all fairytale stories all the way from the west to Asia.

The best is that the scrips that it wrote are mostly modified to suit the game as a whole. Brings a lot of childhood memories from it.

Honki impact had a great storyline throughout the whole game.

It is a mess the first time I play, I can't understand the whole story of the game.

After competing for few chapters with some cinnamate cut scene, there are some really touching moments but I can't all up at all.

Then I replay the whole game again without pass through the transcript, at that point that I found out the story behind is so good

Runescape is the best for me, the storyline still extends for almost 20 years now, I like the fight and the balance between the 4 gods and the ancient gods. As it is the original story scries, it is so much better than the Chinese three countries or the Japan civil war that repeat all the same things all the time.

How do explain the story of Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2 - without getting worked up just thinking about it?!?! The inner demons that guy had to fight with good vs bad, only to be used and betrayed around every corner.

Still hands down the best SOLO story line I've come across in a long time, and anyone on the fence whether to get RDR2 (Story) or not, absolutely do! The world is so immersive and you get so emotionally invested in Arthur and his path.

So hard not to spoil the story for anyone else - just go get it already!

I was thinking about it quit a few time but nothing cross to my mind except Metal Gears, even from magna or movies. The MG series are diving into the unexpected each time you have clear in your mind, questioning heroes actions for the eternal question what is good and evil and what defines what is good and evil.
For some reason i was in denial for years watching from anime to movie titles... Because we all know how it turns out i guess, but i encourage you to see the movies Rurouni Kenshin.Thats the latest most memorable story wise movies i saw the last month at least.

For me GTA V storyline is a lot of story about family, friendship and strong brotherhood that we can take positively in our real life. There's sad, anger and happiness in one game. Besides, I had made a lot of friends in GTA Online and we still contacting each other like our own siblings till today since 2013. It's all about friendship and brotherhood :raised_hands:

Hmmm i don't think i have a favorite story in mind. I'm more of a journey rather than destination guy. I enjoyed Tomb Raider's plot, the new series of course also the Assassin's Creed ones, most of them. Probably Geralt's was one of the best.

    Sekiro for me.

Storyline is unique and mystical. (LOVE IT!)

There's loyalty, on both Owl and Dragon Heir.

A lot of plot twist, thanks to it's multiple ending, which makes you get all of it's ending and appreciate the director and everyone on it's production!

Perseverance and Patience, on both Sekiro and You (as a player, you know what I mean).

And thanks to this game, my girl allowed me to buy a new controller *wink* *wink*

Story-wise, I'd say I'll give it to Star Ocean - Second Story, I lost count on how many times I've played it just to get multiple different endings!

Game storyline I would say any of the Elder Scrolls game, esp Skyrim, the world is so rich and I love how the lore and cultures was made consistent and it feels like you are in another world, because the universe n it's uniqueness doesn't just stay in one game but throughout the entire franchise, it's my escape from reality, it'll be a harsh world to live in, but it's fun, and I'm a better me than IRL.

Reminded me of Tolkien's amazing LoTR universe or even Harry Potter

The Elder Scrolls is my SAO lol

I've always been really into the stories of the Zelda games. On the surface they are really simple; a kingdom in peril, a damsel in distress, a knight in shining armor. But when you play more and take a deeper dive into the various characters and their motivations, it is so intriguing and really fun to play and watch unfold.

    Hello friends,

I also saw "Attack on Titan" anime, I like twists and plot that surprise me.
I find similarities with "Game of Thrones".
But there is a little too much violence for me.

I'm not going to recommend a video game, but an NBC and Netflix series that I highly recommend "The Good Place".
It's so much fun, twists and plot will surprise you, you can watch as a family.
    It helps to have a good mood.^ _ ^

"Riverdale" also successful in your country ?

    World in Conflict.

Today a niche RTS with great mods that bring COD level realism in the RTS genre.

When I first got it back in 2007 I was completely blown away by how creative the story was.

USSR invades East Europe under the pressure of economic collapse in the late 90s. NATO and the EU had declined a bailout and told the Soviets "no money, just die lol"

The USSR used its massive war machine, the Soviet steamroller, to... well... steamroll through the Fulda gap and on into West Germany.

Little do the allies know, this was a diversion for the Sovies real goal.
But I ain't telling you that gamers. Go play it and see for yourselves. It was just a brilliant stratagem and an impeccable plan through and through.

Oh btw, Spetznaz (USSR SPECOPS teams) invaded NYC and took hostages on Liberty island demanding the US to pull forces from Europe and all that under the threat of releasing a chem agent over Manhattan.

Ikr!! If that doesn't make you wanna play it, I don't know what will

    Bonus. Narrated by Alec Baldwin.
