Undervolting Razer Blade 15 9th gen

has anyone undervolted the new 9th gen i7-8750h cpu yet? If so what were your limits?

Lowest undervolting value is vary on every cpu unit even same 8750H, it’s like gpu silicons lottery, if you’ lucky you can push better than other. For cpu on gaming laptop you can start from -100mV and lowering every-10mV until benchmarks like Firestrike can’t run or your system shutdown, means it’s not stable.
Btw 9th gen is 9750H not 8750H, most predecessor Blade users on 7700HQ, 8750H doing -120mV (6700HQ was somehow can go lower like -140mV). Probably 9750H would be around the same. Anyway on 8750H I’m using mostly -130mV since first time. Other thing to notice on gaming benchmarks like 3Dmark it can go lower, I tried down to -160mV and was no problem but on real gaming it’s not stable and benchmarks score is better on -130mV.
Thanks so much! Will there be any harm just by undervolting and testing the limits? And once I find the sweet spot, will undervolting cpu affect the computer in long term? Or will it actually be better?

No, my Blade was shut down dozens times doing Firestrike on lowest value, idk about longevity but it was fine in 2 years gaming usage, never had Blade longer than that yet always sold for upgrade. Lower temperature is better.
have you had problems with frequently disconnecting wifis? like it disconnects after 45 mins - 1hr after connecting to one.

No, is it intel WiFi or Killer wireless card? Try update the driver. Note mine is 2018 Blade 15 Advanced, with Intel wireless card.

Undervolting is the bees knees. Better performance and lower temps. If it crashes it means there was not enough voltage or certain programs/games may not work well with an undervolt ; overall it's nothing to get nervous about. Generally once it's tweaked within margin of error, you'll be smooth sailing.
Hi I have just purchased a Razer Blade 9th gen i7 9750 RTX2070 laptop 512gb SSD and was wondering if anyone could recommend any settings to undervolt the machine. I am new to this and would really be appreciative of any advice from anyone. Would doing this make a huge difference to temperature and increase the performance of the laptop.

It’s already undervolted on factory, I believe by -100mV, download HWinfo64 and check the sensor you should see -0,100 Value on AR voltage offset (on cpu coloum), for how to lower it further using 3rd apps you can PM @Firebat246 :smile_:, but if -100mV is already applied it’ already good imo.
Thank you appreciate that.

Hi, I have the Same laptop as @ressex1234 I was wondering if you could also help me with undervolting mine, i would really appreciate it. I'm a little scared of messing up my investment.
