  1. 3 updates and the issues I had are still there:
    1. Single click registers as a double click:
      1. In Mail (selecting an email opens it in another window instead of just selecting it.
      2. In Browser windows (forces the window to go full screen) and inside Mail.
    2. Scrolling speed is really slow in browser pages as well as Finder windows with lots of content. *The OS Settings changes nothing with the scrolling speed.

  2. I wrote the same thing to the Support Team about the problems I have with Sierra. They wrote me that I need to reinstall Synapse and disable User Account Control (UAC)... As far as UAC is a Windows thing, and I wrote them about the problems I have with Sierra, I assume nobody actually ever read my email and they just sent a standard reply with fresh idea about reinstalling the Synapse.

This is possible, but unlikely. More like they're used to sending a certain response and it's automatic to type it up at this point. However, if you hit the "Reply" button and further explain your issues then they take a much closer look at what you are describing the second and subsequent times. I've always received that basic responses the first time around with the same initial impressions, but things do improve the more info you send them and the more contact you have.

Yesterday, Synapse was stuck in perpetually loading mode. Restart did not help at all.
Today, all my profiles are simply vanished, both from my Orbweaver Chroma and my Epic Naga Chroma. As I had 7–8 profiles, all of which I used for work purposes, this is a pretty serious issue for me. I have posted error reports about these issues. Are anyone else affected?

losing profiles sucks. maybe if you wait they appear again. for me they are almost always gone after a razer update...then it can take around 15 mins or so for them to reappear. this used to be much worse in 2014.

you can export your profiles (backup) then import them again. (you have to link the apps again tho.)

Thanks! Uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse seemed to do the trick this time.

nice. but again. back them up now.

  10. The latest version of Synapse 2.0 (v1.61) hangs my Mac upon reboot with a grey screen. After a forced shutdown and 2nd reboot, logging into Synapse crashes with a NSInvalidArgumentException. How was this version even released? Is it something specific with my Mac setup causing it? When are these major issues going to be fixed? I haven't been able to properly use my Razer devices since Sierra was released! I've opened several support cases with Razer since Sep 24th and I have yet to get this resolved. I just got off the phone with US/Canada support rep George who said that they have escalated the issue (again) and that a specialist will contact me within 24 to 48 hours.

Even up to a year prior to Sierra's release, Synapse has never really performed 100%. Sometimes one or more keys on my BlackWidow wouldn't work anymore, requiring a reboot. Sometimes my devices weren't recognized at all unless I unplug/replug them or reboot my machine. Macro recording is wonky. BlackWidow app-specific keymaps sometimes would not activate. Even the green text that appears in the upper-left corner of the desktop when keymaps are switched end up drawing over each other making them illegible.

I will update this post as this debacle progresses. My happiness with Razer is at an all-time low. They make some great hardware, but without competent software to run it, what good is it?

I agree that Synapse for OS X has never fully been 100%. OK, lets be real here. It has never been 75%. On my Windows comp, it works flawlessly with updates pushed out weekly, if not more, it seems. But on my Mac, nothing but problems. I don't have the double click issue with the current version, however I do still have problems. My mouse will just stop in the middle of movement. And that is assuming that after a startup or awaking that Razer recognizes my Naga. I have my naga scroll tilt wheel programmed to switch desktops and instead i scroll up and down webpages. When I open Synapse it will show my Naga but never open the options. It will also show me as logged in but none of my profiles will be active. What I have to do is quit Synapse, open Activity Monitor, force quit RzDeviceEngine and then RzUpdater. They will automatically restart and my Naga will showed function correctly. And this still doesnt fix the freezing mid movement. Still no cure for that. I have pretty much given up hope on ever getting proper support for Razer peripherals for OS X. Probably just going to switch to Logitech for all future purchases. Which sucks because I love Razer and they do work great on Windows when they function how they are supposed to.

I have to say synapse needs to be improved for both PC & Mac. It is almost bloatware with the CPU usage

Same thing here, also with Naga Hex (Both red and green).

Ridiculous that Synapse still doesn't work after all this time. Maybe Razer will have it figured out by the time macOS 10.13 is released in June.

I cannot report a bug that way because there is only a cancel button and no send button...

  15. Just fill in ALL empty fields and it will be unlocked.

Ok I am blonde but I filled in all empty fields... ofc. I would say. Or there are empty fields that don't show - it seems things aren't build for Sierra.

  17. Update:
I received an email on Nov 5th from Razer Support (the day after I got off the phone with them) saying that they are still working on it. No word since. No contact from the software team yet.

This morning I had a new update for Synapse waiting (1.62.8) - it mentioned in the notes for it that among other things it corrected the scrolling speed, and I can happily say that it did in my case. (10.12.1 here) The scrolling speed is back to the way it used to be and more importantly seems to follow the setting for that in Sys Prefs now. Razer Mamba in my case.

  19. I just update my Mac that is running sierra the new update if synaps. Ever since I updated it make my mouse scroll wheel not work like it used too. Whenever I scroll once it doesn't work I have too scroll around like 4 times in a row for it to work.

    Please help.
