It's really quite annoying. I love the hardware, and I really would like to buy a Razer Keyboard to complete the setup but if I can't use the software to remap keys then it's of no use to me.
  3. Dudes... let's organise a new year wood fire, set every razer device on fire. Will attract lot of press for sure.

Also, no one here has a lawyer in their family and live in USA? Someone needs to organise a class action lawsuit right?

Not sure if you were joking but software isn't covered under standard warranties, at least not in the UK. If the software doesn't work on day 1 then customers can return the item on that basis but if it works for 6 months and then a buggy update makes the item unusable, legally the customer has no grounds for replacement.
  5. I'm in middle east so.. 0 consumer rights here. But I guess in USA at least someone can force a hand? I really don't mind about minor issues.. but the locking key thingy affects my gameplay everytime.. I need to press escape in the middle of the game. To make things worse, support seems clueless, they ask for log files as if my issue would be the only one. That kind of enerves me.

Hopeless feeling.. again, it's been months.

They asked me for exactly the same things. If you have been waiting months then that isn't exactly promising. Might hold off on buying the headset and keyboard I was looking at.
  7. As a friend's recommendation, if you can return whatever you buy do it. Then buy something from other brand... cannot recommend as I've only used Razer, but maybe do some search online. Even if they solve this, there is no guaranty they will not screw it up in the future. Logitech also had problems, I guess they solved them. There are some cool products in Massdrop, idk if they support mac though. For me I don't even use macros.. i just needed a functioning mouse and keyboard.
  8. HAHAHAH this would be hilarious if it weren't so f***ing infuriating--

The sticky keys issue has now started happening on my EL CAPITAN MAC, after Synapse auto-updated just now!!!

I was hoping that by not upgrading to Sierra, that I can avoid the issues I'm experiencing with my home Mac on my work Mac, but I guess Razer has other ideas!!

  9. This is going to be my final post to this thread. I've lurked it since September, when the issue first started occurring (release date of macOS Sierra.) I don't want to spend any more time researching this issue.

When the sticky keys bug started happening on my home Mac, after several tries I was able to come up with a solution. Inconvenient and imperfect, but at least I can type letters again on my keyboard without it going haywire.

BUT if my work productivity starts getting affected because of buggy software, that is where I draw the line.

I have uninstalled Synapse. I used System Preferences to swap Option and Command key functionality to make my input more Mac-friendly, when Synapse used to take care of that job (not anymore.)

These issues give me a vote of no confidence for Razer and their Mac support. Unfortunate, as I have THREE Razer keyboards. I started using my Orion Spark on my home Mac 2 weeks ago, as the Synapse bugs became tiring.

I have been looking at a Mac-friendly Das keyboard to replace the Razer keyboard I use at work. It's been sitting in my Amazon cart, but now I need to buy it.

The question now is what the hell do I do with three Razer keyboards?

Bye everyone. Have a safe & happy new year.

See if you can open the keyboard viewer and do a keypress that way. I don't have the newest MBP with the touchbar, but on my mid-2014 MBP I can find it in the menu bar. If you don't already have it set this way, go to System Preferences and click on Keyboard. Then click on the Input Sources tab. There is a box that says "Show Input Sources in menu bar". When that box is checked, a flag should appear in the menu bar. Click on the flag, then click on "Show Keyboard Viewer". Clicking on a virtual escape key there should trigger the same thing in Synapse.

Since the launch of Mac OS Sierra I am having all kind of troubles with Synapse. Before Sierra everything worked fine.
After not being able to use modifiers in combo with Naga mouse now I am having the stuck modifier key problem.
This is ruining my gaming experience completely so I decided to switch to Logitech products.
I really loved the Razer hardware but when after 4 months they stil can not make their Synapse work with Mac is the final drop for me.

So did this key modifier bug only start when Sierra was released? Because I am having the exact same issue on Yosemite.

I'm unable to swap Ctrl to Cmd, or Alt to Opt on Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth 2013 + Synapse 1.64 on macOS Sierra. Case: 01024754

System behaves as if cmd key or opt key are kept pressed, resulting in odd behavior:

Razer Synapse 1.64.3 + macOS Sierra 10.12.2 + Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth 2013

0m00s to 0m26s default behavior working fine
0m27s onwards: swap ctrl to cmd, alt to opt keeps Application Switcher (Mac) open until I click, and Dock launches the Finder/Applications folder instead of the actual app.

On macOS, keeping cmd key pressed while you click on a Dock icon does the same.

My conclusion is when swapping ctrl for cmd on Synapse, the system behaves as if the cmd key was still being pressed (and won't lift until you click).
  15. This is addressed many times by before. And you left the issue of "CTRL" press Ctrl+C then click anywhere... All this without any key remapped.
Razer don't give a shit about Mac users. Just Windows PC gamers. Linux not even there!!
  16. No one from Razer dare to give a decent solution to this? A timeline??? Shall I ditch all my razer stuff and buy Logitech or something else?

Sadly, (a) Apple saw fit to remove the function keys row from the Keyboard Viewer (b) Keyboard Viewer also sadly doesn't seem to see Capslock as Escape even though I've remapped it in the Keyboard System Preferences and (c) finally it appears that Synapse does not intercept Keyboard Viewer keypresses :-/

So a whole lot of fail on both Razer and Apple's part here.

Oh, that sucks. My only suggestion for getting Esc into Synapse is to plug in another keyboard that actually has escape. Ok, two suggestions. Do that, and then actually record the Esc press and release as a macro on both of your devices, and then if you want to map it somewhere else, it's already saved in Synapse.

"Another BUG, Ctrl+C , keeps Ctrl pressed, so clicking on OSX --> Right Click"

I am in the process of building a gaming PC so that I can dedicate my iMac to music production, given that I already own a Naga Epic and an Orbweaver I would love to be able to get a Razer Keyboard to complete the set but if this issue isn't sorted by then I am going to jump ship and get a Corsair.
