Update rolling out for RP2! (spoiler: it's NOT 10/Q)

Hey, all. Didn't see a thread about this, but I just got an update for my RP2!

Here's what it says is included:

  • Improved camera stability
  • Improved Wi-Fi stability
  • Family Link support
  • Latest GMS apps
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements
  • Security updates through September, 2019

So, yeah. It's not 10/Q as the title says. Though, at least it's a significant security update. Hopefully the other updates work as mentioned, too.

I have an unlocked model running on T-Mobile, btw. Carrier-branded models are likely still lagging behind.

Build number is now: P-MR2-RC001-RZR-190914.3123

To be honest, first thing I was checking when I saw your post was if it's April the 1st today :big_grin_:

I am happy for this, but also I am a bit scared for what it will do to my phone. Can someone who applied the update write here if he/she had any problems?
JESUS - RAZER!!! Sitting at university.... Was taking out my RP2 to take a nice snap of my new RBS19 in action, cause I am cool guy ya know. Phone software update jumps into my face... and NEARLY spilled coffee oer my Blade...

...true story.
So far, so good.
I'm under the impression the camera Portrait Mode is taking a little longer to "unfreeze" after a shot is taken, but hey, at least it hasn't completely crashed the Camera App and required a complete phone restart so far.

Yes, I've just tested it, and I have the same behaviour in Portrait mode. When taking pictures normally, this it unfreezes almost instantly.
my one got updated to P-MR2-RC001-RZR-190914.3123 last night (Australia), looks like they also fixed the HDR/5.1 not working in Netflix.
