using core x gpu and internal gpu

Hi,

I have a core x and a razer base 2019 model . I would like to use both gpu's for rending in Redshift. I have got this working in the past, but have completely forgotten how I set this up. My machine was repaired and the machine was wiped.

Any clues would be great.

Thanks in advance

I'm not familiar with Redshift. But if it is anything like Blender, there should be two tick boxes in the app's render settings, which should allow you to use both iGPU and dGPU if ticked at the same time.

*Moving this to the Systems Boards. There should be some enthusiasts in the community that can point you in the right direction.
I looked at this a bit more. So when i plug my core x into a thunderbolt port it kills the onboard rtx 2060 drivers. There is something strange going on with my system 😞 Not sure what to do.

This happens often on first set up, the system confused to recognize proper driver for the gpu that’s connected, usually happens when unplugging the core, system usually can properly recognize gpu again after resetting the system. This’s I think because optimus technology that automatically recognize which gpu should work.
Try uninstall completely nvidia driver and install twice same driver version before and after plugging the enclosure do with clean install on both. As for rendering I’m not so specific since usually using core setting for gaming which only allow one gpu to work, but for rendering, machine learning, mining you should be able use both GPUs, this option usually can you check after connection on device manager, on default it should recognize all GPUs in your system (intel gpu, nvidia dgpu and gpu inside enclosure), if it’s not active you can try enable it manually.
Hope that help.
