Hey, I have been thinking about producing some nice vlogs, just wondering if anyone out there currently does, and what type of camera do you use? Thanks!

Though I personally don't Vlog, I have seen many gamers use webcams for their recordings, might be worth it to check out the Razer Stargazer as I am sure the development team had broadcasting / Vlogging in mind when making this device.

Not sure how they would vlog with the Stargazer though? How would I be able to power and record it on the go, right?

  5. Canon PowerShot S110 is good!

  6. I've got a panasonic SDR-S26 that i use for some minor filming, and it's got pretty good video, even though it's kinda old. It's not going to be the best, but it's nice and cheap.

My bad, I think the term has changed since I was introduced to it. It used to be that a Vlog was just something where a person sat behind a camera and talked about whatever was on their mind (interests, opinions, events, etc). I guess since the GoPro Vlog's have really evolved from stationary to mobile. For video cameras I've always enjoyed Canon, they definitely make some quality cameras.

Best vlogging camera would have to be one of those cameras mounted on those knockoff iPhones from China, due to its affordability ;)

  10. I want to become a vlogger as well. But I'm just a little bit shy and I don't know what I'd have to say in front of a camera. Although that I'm a pretty good streamer.

If your on a budget a Go Pro is an option that I haven't seen mentioned yet.

Oh boy this is just the threat for me!
After a bunch of research for a camera that i want to buy myself i ended up with the Panasonic Lumix G7, it's a micro four thirds camera capable of 4K, 1080p60 and a lot more.
The problem with this camera is the bulkiness but the swivel screen, microphone input and the amazing video quality all makes up for it in my opinion.
I'm buying this for random YouTube video's and for the trip to Japan that i will be taking in the future and which i'm planning to vlog entirely on this camera.
I currently do not own this camera but after a lot of comparing this was my final choice and i'm getting it hopefully next month.
No idea what your budget is but mine was around 800 Euro's and this was the result :)

Others that i considered buying were:
    -Panasonic Lumix GX7
    -Sony Alpha A5100
    -Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6

Go for Sony X100. I do not have it myself but heard amazing things about it.
