Yep, watched it the weekend it was released. It's defiantly a slow burn. IMO, you have to want to watch it, if you don't the first few episodes will bore you. Of the four Netflix series (5 if you count Punisher which is most likely going to get picked up), Jessica Jones was the character I knew the least about and was least looking forward to. Having said that, I was amazed.

I thought Mike Colter was perfect as Luke Cage and look forward to his series. David Tennant was awesome as Purple Man and gave a performance that had you trying to figure out if you should be sympathetic or creeped out. I still am not really a fan of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and was hesitant going in, but I thought she did an outstanding job and honestly I don't know of an actress that I would have preferred over her. I just didn't feel that she matched up with the vision I had from what I knew about the character from the source material.

I felt it was one of the closest TV shows to an actual comic format, because each episode felt like a single comic book in a story arc. What I mean by that is, each episode didn't really have a 'full story' feel to it. Pretty much none of the episodes felt like a 'one shot' story that was used to just feel time. Overall it had a nice flow, that only slowed down a few times once it got started.

If I wasn't such a big fan of the Daredevil comics, I would probably rate this show higher than Daredevil. I do look forward to the second season and hope they continue to develop Trish Walker into Hellcat because I want to see a larger team in the Defenders, rather than just the four main characters. As well as seeing more crossover between the the various shows.

My biggest and only real complaint goes to Netflix....I want more than two shows a year. I think it needs bumped up to three or possible four. If they can keep the quality I would love to see one series a quarter. I think there are plenty of characters that would work for the street level that they are going for, such as Punisher, Clock and Dagger, Moon Knight, Heroes for Hire/Daughters of the Dragon, She-Hulk, and Blade to name a few.

You should be ashamed to not have finished Dexter yet

Thanks for your review, will definitely try it. Also about Netflix, they've been said to triple the number of shows x)
  7. I know! It's awesome! But it was not really on my watchlist. It's a recommendation by a friend.

The Leftover is produced by Lindelof, so it has a lot of WTF is going on but 10x crazier than Lost.

The first season of Prison Break was terrific and should have ended as a mini-series, after that it just went downhill fast. I will watch the new mini-series when it air though, because I've seen all but the "women prision spin off pilot/movie". I'm not sure how it will be done though, with Purcell and Miller on Legends of Tomorrow and I think Sarah Wayne Callies has a new show starting soon. I'd also want to see an update on T-Bag, C-Note, and Sucre, but I doubt they would bring them back also.

Did you watch Breakout Kings? Same producers that were on Prison Break. If not there is an episode that has T-Bag, and you can never have too much Robert Knepper.

Thanks to give me new TV shows to watch ! I don't know this one xD

About Prison Break, the best season was the first indeed. And for the renewal, it will be only around Michael, Lincoln and Sarah (others would be great too)

T bag is love, T bag is life, sadly I didn't hear about Breakout Kings. If you like Sci fi I recommend The Expanse which is doing good debut
