    I therefore invite you all also to send him a PM with your own screens/videos in order to prove that this problem is indeed global to the Tartarus PRO model, and not an isolated problem. Thank you all!

    @Ellionas I tried, but the Pro dropped all keymaps this morning in Synapse 3. The V2 is working just fine.

    I'd ask for a refund, but if support is SLOWLY trying to resolve the issues it seems like I should give them a chance. IF they can get it working it'd be a great device....

    @metis1 Despite my irritation, that's what I'm trying to do, give them a chance.... But I must admit that for the moment it's hard to accept. When a company, which is well established, gives you a specific example as a selling point, and in reality, it is totally impossible, we are really on false advertising... (Illegal in my country, France.) Especially when this object is at a significant price. (We are still more or less at the price of a top-of-the-range full keyboard.)

    Indeed, if the device were fully operational, (correctly saved keymap and especially the functional and useful analog.) it would be perfect. To see if they will take us into consideration and correct the situation quickly.

    Hi everyone, the guy who designed analog switches for the main competitor has made a video that explains the big issue with Razer Tartarus Pro : ... thats exactly what you are talking about. Razer, how pitiful this is ! It's called false advertisment and people in this forum can sue you for that. I bought your tartarus pro and i have the same issue : full key pressure comes at the half of the total travel distance, thats inacceptable : look at the vidéo!! Is it a software or hardware problem??

    Ellionas: Relax, they will fix this. In every country false advertising is a bad thing, not just in France, and as a French myself I think we get scammed quite a lot, shall I add.
    Anyways I doubt it's really false advertising because it probably wasn't intentional. Then again, I find it weird that they did not bother testing the product.

    I hope they will fix this issue if it wasn't done yet; perhaps only the first wave units were concerned by this issue

    @MrBuli I'm hoping that they'll actually fix the garbage. It has the potential to be a great device, but support needs to resolve some issues.
    why are you commenting if you're not actually responding to the thread in a constructive manner?

    I just unpacked my one and was very surprised that the switches are not working as advertised.
    Thanks to Am@zon I have 6 weeks time to send it back.
    So if there is no fix coming by end of Jan, I will send it back.

    I'm saddened to hear that. It seems that every copy is concerned by the issue.

    Anyways it's not like the analogic switch feature is the first thing I love about this keypad but yeah, if you're spending 150€ buying a high quality keypad, you would want everything to work as expected/described.

    Another desaster of Razer products quality getting worse and worse in the past.
    TartarusV2 with broken thumb keys after some month, now the Pro fail. Not talking about Synapse desaster.
    What has happend to Razer? No recomendation any more!

    It's a shame because they make great stuff, they have great ideas, but in the end if the quality is not here...
    Besides they never reply to mails, I also tried to contact them from Reddit, hell even Discord, no response from them.

    It's a shame losing customers based on lack of communication, really

    It should be a nice alternative! It may not have analogic switch but an analogic stick, though I'm not a big fan of it being analogic 'cause on my Orbweaver I used to like binding my weapons or strafe/forward movements on the 8-way stick, but yeah a cool pad.
  16. Same problem here. After my really bad experience with the Razer support regarding problems with Synapse 2 vs 3 I don't even dare to contact them again for this problem. Because I had waited for the non helpfull answers I can't even return the Tartatus anymore.

    If Razer don't fix these problems soon, I'll have to find a poor victim on Ebay to get rid of it finally.

    I can't recommend the Tartarus at all. Having to use Synapse 2 & 3 at the same time to support all my Razer products is a shame. Since that I often have the problem that my non Razer Keyboard is missing keystrokes sometimes.

    Guess this was my last Razer product I have bought. Shame on you Razer !!!

    Maybe I should also try to conact the support if they offered you a refund hopefully they give me the same offer.

    Shame on you Razer for your marketing lies.

    Do yourself a favour and don't get the new one.

    It's a fact that you can't use "Interdevice communication" between new and older devices because you need to install Synapse 2 and 3 on to run them. Synapse 2 devices can't speak to Synapse 3 devices.
    Support wasn't helpfull but a mess. They closed my ticket every 3 days automatically without any help or solution.

    Don't buy new any device if you need Synapse 2 for your older devices!!!

    Lucky you! I had bought my at Razers online shop and therefore I'm screwed now with bad product :slightly_sad:

    Yes, I am as disapointed about the Tartarus Pro as you might think when reading all my replys.
    The worst is to feel completely ignored by Razer support.

    Honestly Razer is not as bad as you describe it (in term of support and product quality) I mean, I got my Razer Viper redunded immediately because left click was loose, I'm just going to take another one, guess I should thank Amazon instead.
    To me it's just that the keypad world seems still new and experimental for them, they're lacking experience as they develop new features, which is fine, issues can always be resolved, but at least if they listened to feedbacks we could advance...

    Anyways, maybe this can help you, let me know if after you applied said "fix", issue still occures or not.


    If the issue still happens, I guess it's best to either wait next month before considering this product, or just go for the Azeron.

    Now I feel ignored AND censored.

    Actually YOUR answer did motivate me to open another ticket where I try to describe that the dual-function keys feature isn't working as promised on their website

    While most gaming keypads and keyboards register a singular input when pressing a key, the Razer Tartarus Pro is fitted with Razer Analog Optical Switches which can register scaling levels of input in the same motion depending on how far you press. This allows for a more measured and nuanced form of control. For example, a half press will cause your character to walk, while a full press will get them to run. This type of control is similar to how you might move your character using analog thumbsticks on a controller.

    Whether you prefer light taps or full, deliberate keystrokes that bottom out, tweak the gaming keypad’s actuation to be as hair-trigger sensitive or as solid and deliberate as you want.

    As a direct benefit of having scaled inputs from Razer Analog Optical Switches, you can now bind two functions to each key—one that triggers on a partial keystroke, and another on a full keystroke.

    Let's keep fingers crossed for a better answer this time.

    What kind of mail address is this? Doesn't look like a Razer owned one.

    Anyway, I'll share any helpfull response/solution I get from support.
