It is pretty obvious that most people do not like the new razer blade stealth 2019, and we all pretty much know the reason why, the price, the specs, and how it changed what made the razer blade stealth lineup unique.

So here are some of the specs that I hope to see, and I believe most of the community would agree with me on this. And at least hope Razer sees this and not screw it up for the next version of the Razer Blade Stealth.

This took me a while, and I really thought about the specs to price ratio, as the price for the specs here is still not cheap, there are still laptops with a cheaper price for the same specs, however, because it's Razer, and there is that premium brand and feel to the laptop, and the price isn't super overpriced like the current Razer Blade Stealth 13.

The Base Model of the stealth is targeted at the people that just want a MacBook replacement with a solid price for less ram and battery, and an FHD screen meeting most people's essential needs. This comes in a 128GB and 256GB version, where the 256GB version includes a touch screen instead of a matte display.

The Advanced Model of the stealth is targeted at the old Razer Blade Stealth (RBS v4 and older) users as well as people looking to upgrade to a future-proof laptop. It comes with 16GB ram, a bigger battery of 60Wh, and a QHD touch screen display, making it the perfect laptop for many. This comes in a 256GB and 512GB version, and has per-key RGB lighting, for people to flex their perfect one to others.

The Graphics Model of the stealth is targeted at both content creators and light gamers. With the addition of an SD card slot, it prevents every youtuber from saying "the lack of an SD card is a bummer". It also includes a dedicated Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics, and an ever so slightly better QHD+ display to give content creators that extra pixel they needed. This model also comes with a light-up green THS logo to settle it apart from the rest, so that whether you are a gamer or content creator, you be set apart from all your friends and peers who didn't pay the extra buck for that better glory. This comes in a 512 GB and 1TB version, with the 512GB version also in a Mercury White Limited Edition, to satisfy the needs of many that have been asking ever since Mercury White was introduced, and become the beaming light for every MacBook fan to the true king of ultrabooks.

If you agree with me, please vote in the poll so Razer can see this, and so all the time and effort I went to think about this and typing this up doesn't go to waste.

I don’t completely agree but I like this thread, may become references for Razer.
You can make a pool to see if other interested or not etc, asking like may invite wrong perceptions that you asking it for achievements which is against the house rules.

Just wondering though, what is it that you don't agree, I want to know other people's views on what they've done with the new Razer Blade Stealth 🙂

You’re actually more senior than me I was just born in 2017 on April Fools:smile_:, I remember you from that avatar you’ve original stealth 2016 right, mine late 2016 and time to upgrade, but it’s actually still working great. How yours? Stealth 2019 has great cpu and MX150 helps performance on casual games. Yes 1050mq found in some similar form factor ultrabook but they’re no TB3 which means goodbye egpu. Next gen stealth graphics model hopefully can catch better than 1050mq. I prefer new Turing gpu and hope for their new AI technology dlss if they bring it to low power gpu and with more efficient power usage. About the price no comment, but yes I want to see base model for 999 as well like on 2016 model, though with price that are increased in every department nowaday, maybe 1099 is fine:big_grin_:

Yeah, I have the og v1 razer blade stealth with the og razer core,I'm a bit jealous that you have the late 2016 blade stealth:smile_:, I think that's probably my favourite laptop of all time, because it's just the best bang for your bucks.

Anyway, by having my rbs for almost 3 years now, I'm looking for new laptops, as my rbs has a lit bit more than 2 hours of battery at normal use with battery saver and min load. The speaker grill on the left has fell off (I'm guessing it's because of all the heat and loosen up the adhesive over time), and without the core, my laptop sometimes lags when web browsing:frown_:

I think the new Razer Blade Stealth is great, but because of the lag i'm getting on my current rbs, I now have min specs of 16GB ram for the next laptop I'm getting. And that means I have to get the mx150 version, and when you are at that price point, you kind of just start looking at other laptops such as Razer Blade 15, Aero 15x, MSI gs65 etc

I relate to this so much, the only Ultrabook with TB3 is the dell xps 13/15, but then the price of that just goes up a lot like the RBS (at least in Australia).

With that being said, the only options left with TB3 at a good value are Razer Blade 15, Aero 15x, MSI gs65 etc, but they all have a min GPU of 1060, so I don't even need my eGPU, but if you go cheaper, with all the other mx150, and 1050 laptops, they don't have TB3.

I'm still all about that eGPU life, it was a pretty big financial investment, and there is no going back, especially with the OG Razer Core V1, there is no way you can even sell that thing now, with it not having support for any of the new graphics cards, and official supports for only razer blades and the Intel Skull Canyon, with some people that have gotten it work a bit with the OG dell xps 13.

The Graphics model I put up there, was because I knew a lot of people was angry at how expensive the mx150 graphics model was, so the only other option I know at this point was the 1050 mq.

I still really want the
Dat1Fish
Advanced Model
, because that is like my perfect laptop. (although that's with the 60Wh battery lasting like a 60Wh battery should with those specs, which is like 10+ actual real life hours.

Hey if the price with the early 2016 RBS and late 2016 RBS are the exact same, you never know. (still salty af that I didn't get the late 2016 rbs :frown_:) You know what they say, as technology advances, it should reduce the price production in all parts, so that we can get things cheaper... (I know I'm dreaming here:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:) But hey, if Elon Musk can make Space travel affordable, surely someone can make the products in the tech industry more affordable, and not 10 times more expensive each time, (I'm looking at you apple:mad_:)

No I missed such details and well built answer, not like me who quoted all and reply what I want:big_grin_:.
Stealth 2019 is actually perfect ultrabook for egpu setting. Physical score surpass higher tdp quad cores 7700HQ. Take a look at this. Though graphics score is lower, I think it’s due dgpu that make pch take a roll on transfers graphics data like on HQ/H cpu meanwhile ultrabook cpu usually transfer it directly to cpu. About this idk quite sure though, no one atm can answer this. Here are 1080ti egpu setting for comparison from my stealth and old Blade 14 1080ti.

So if stealth 2019 without dgpu can perform similar graphics performance on 22K score, it would means quite big FPS improvement on 1080p.
As joik said, the pricing and some of the features are pretty unreasonable and frankly not realistic for razer to do. If they put an SD card reader they would do it on the whole if not most of the lineup excluding the lower end. I also think that putting a 1050 might make the battery last not as long which would really be a bummer and I really dont see why you excluded the mx 150 entirely.
Anyway, thanks for voicing your concerns and making the community's opinion be heard more.
Cheers.

Agreed. Furthermore, the GTX 1050 has much higher power requirements than the MX150. It would require a complete redesign of power delivery, heat management, the power adapter, etc. It would be a completely different laptop.
Yeah I mean the list would be nice, but I doubt they'll put a 1050 Max-Q inside because of the need for cooling and strain on the battery. After all, its meant to be productivity based, no? If they start sacrificing battery for graphics that changes. Also those prices are a little idealic, might have to bump them up a little on the higher end. I actually don't mind the sharp corners, it makes it feel streamlined. Oh and definitely don't bring back the light-up logo, that was a change for the best. Anyway, when do you guys think the next Razer Blade Stealth will be out anyway? Mid summer? Fall?

I get what you mean with the 1050 mq, but they made a 'graphics model' this year, so I thought, it's better to either put in a graphics card that will actually make a difference or just not put one in at all. Because let's all face it, the mx150 makes 0 difference compare to a dedicated.

As for the price, apart from the 'graphics model' (although many other manufacturers have achieved the same specs, size factor, and lower price) , every other prices I've given should be possible, as when the RBS lineup was first launched, it had a similar price to the ones I've given above (plus $100 at max, any more is just unjustified, like the price for the rbs2019, although the price has gone down now by a bit).

Anyway, I don't really care too much now 😛, I ordered a Gigabyte Aero 15x to replace my current rbs v1, mostly because of my last RMA experience with my razer phone, so I didn't feel like investing any more money in Razer, until the toaster comes out. xD
