There is a Razer ManO'War 7.1, Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 and the Razer Kraken 7.1 v2. These are the only 7.1 Razer Headsets that I know. Which of the 7.1 Razer Headsets are the Best?

I never used or owned a Razer audio peripheral so I can't give an informed opinion but just from eyeballing them in the razer store I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. In which case I would get the Tiamat.

Of course if performance is not a big deal to you, then I would get the Kraken, but only in the mercury version because they look sick.

I own a Man o'war wireless and I have a Kracken Pro v1. I like them both with no complains. Since you do bring up the 7.1, out of the bunch I've read most positive on the Kraken 7.1 from actual users, not website reviews and not enough reviews for the Tiamat 7.1 v2. The man o'war, biggest complaint i've read was the fact that they are fragile in some parts. So handle with care if you are considering this set. The actual wireless are nice but I believe the sound could use a boost. However I have not modified it to its full potential, thats my first impression of just slipping it on and only using it a dozen times now since the purchase a month or so ago.

Digital headsets (usb/optical) are almost always better but it depends what are you going to be using them with. Do you want discret 7.1 (multiple speakers in each cup with 5 TRS cables + USB for power to plug into your source) or are you ok with matrixed 7.1 (1 speaker per ear & fancy software processing with one cable USB or optical)?

I'm an audiophile so all I want from a set of cans is the best sound quality i can get so I went with the Kraken 7.1 V2 as adding more speakers to a headset means they must be smaller & therefore move less air & on non-multi channel audio the extra speakers are not used or are matrixed from the stereo feed which rarely comes out good. (you can matrix both ways but it's a much easier to matrix down then up). Also I only use them with my PC so the USB connection was preferred as it basically has a soundcard/amp built into them as opposed to using the computers integrated sound card & amp which tend to be pretty low quality.

BTW I love my Kraken 7.1 V2 sure they don't sound as good as my Beyerdynamic DT880's pluged into my tube headphone amp but that's a near $1000 setup & has no mic so it's not that great for gaming.
    OneTreadLife and ARMOR_152 like this.

I have the ManOWar for my laptop and the Tiamat 7.1 for my desktop, love them both, comfortable and sound quality i finds is excellent with both.
