Well, you read the title. I'm wondering what mosuepad is better, specifically either the Firefly Cloth or the normal one, because I'm gonna buy one of em.

(Note; I'm just doing this for the small amount of zSilver, and like this post too, I need that zSilver xD, but besides how desperate I am, I do wanna hear the opinions.)

Just received the firefly hard edition. i really like it. its alot bigger than i first thought and alot brighter. I havent used the cloth version but im very happy with my purchase of the hard version. plus its easier to clean :)

I prefer the hard version of firefly too.

I'd say the hard one *Insert Lenny Face Here*, As long as it's big too. As to avoid carpal tunnel and stuff, less movement in the wrist or movement in the hand as a whole is possible with a big mousepad and such is good.

They're both great but I'm probably the only one who likes the cloth edition. I guess when I play on hard, it hurts my wrist but the soft has a nice support for my wrist.

I only own the hard edition right now, buuuut I am also wanting to get the cloth edition in the near future when I start working again :D

I have the hard and bought the razer gigantus. I think I prefer cloth now over the hard surface. seems more precise

I use the hard version, I think it might wear down mouse feet faster (also 3 OW people in a row)

I tried both out at my Razerstore and it seems like it would mainly depend on what your playstyle is. The firefly cloth is good for both comfort and control, as well as having more friction. The downside is that unlike other cloth mouse mats: it cannot be cleaned without unnecessary work and no way to "deep clean" if anything gets soaked up.

The hard, while not providing the same comfort as the cloth, is still fairly comfortable and is good for a variety of playstyles due to its smooth and textured surface, it also allows the mouse to glide faster and farther with less effort. The hard surface also allows it to be cleaned in a much less complicated fashion as the prior. The only downside is wrist pain if you are a person who rests their wrist on the desk while using the mouse, a solution I found to reducing the friction by using a cheap cotton glove I had laying around(like these: https://www.amazon.com/eBoot-Pairs-...93096369&sr=8-11&keywords=white+cotton+gloves), and cutting off the fingers that had no contact with the surface and leaving the areas that were.

The one that I finally chose though ended up being the Vespula, since it's the same price as these two, does not need a USB port, and allows for more versatility than either of the Fireflies. It can also be cleaned easily and fast since the mouse surface can be removed, and due to the stainless steel base: will not be breaking anytime soon. (It's also waterproof).

The bottom line is: if you have, or plan on getting chroma devices then you will love the capabilities of the firefly. The main deal breaker for me was that the only two chroma devices I own are the Blade Stealth and Black Widow Chroma, so it didn't really cater to me. I was also concerned about if I spilled liquids on it which can happen to even the best of us.

I kind of agree with this. I blew through my deathadder feet with this. And they don't stock replacements anymore :slightly_sad:

What a scrub, are you saying that you STILL have a mouse that has feet that make contact to the mousepad??? (but I do see how that can be an issue with the hard control" type of textured mousepads from razer)

I used to love the hard mat firefly but now it's on my productivity machine instead of my gaming machine because of the wear it puts on the mouse feet. I use the goliathas extended and the tournament widow for maximum mouse space.
