    I use WIN10.

The only problem that I've seen is the fact that there's autoupdates. You can't say no, it's really annoying sometimes :s

Almost undoubtedly Windows 10, and I have no idea why people would still go for Windows 7. Windows 10 has the newer DirectX and support for newer essential software for performance, such as updated graphics drivers in the case of AMD. The entire point of having updates is to make things run more efficiently and better, therefore I strongly suggest using Windows 10.

I hate the look of Windows 10. It's atrocious. I also hate the updates, the spying, the intrusion by Microsofts software, and lack of Windows 10 activators. I mean I don't pirate... what?

Well I'm sticking with windows 7, I think I upgraded from XP just a couple of years ago. I'm very worried about resource consumption and retro compatibility. I think I'll wait a year more before considering upgrading. So for now I think windows 7 is better for no real reason except the fact that I'm afraid of new Windows versions :D (they screw up one time every two attempts, so I'm concerned)

Hahah...awww...sad to see that my beloved 8 isn't even listed as a poll option.

That seems to be the running joke, that every other Windows OS they release is good. But if that's true, 7 was good, and if we consider 8 bad, then 10 is supposed to be good.

I'm sorry. I know this topic is very subjective to personal opinion and personally I'm no expert myself, but I'm pretty sure if you asked any UI designer whether they preferred this:

    or this:

...they would definitely choose the latter. In terms of visual hierarchy, consistency, and use of pictograms/ideograms/icons Windows 10 is simply better. Windows 7 is chock-full of superfluous, outdated designs that scream 2008. Look at the ugly 3D buttons with unnecessary light/shadow gradients. The weather center with random glare that doesn't help convey anything useful (am I looking at a glass screen...within the glass screen that is my monitor?) The analog skeuomorphic clock and calendar...you're killing me guys. It's 2016. And don't even get me started about that hideous blue ball of a Start Button. I've actually met some of the Microsoft designers that worked on the interface...the company has finally gotten their shit together when it comes to visual design, so let's cut them some slack.

I 100% agree. You worded it so well, haha.

Anyway, Raijin is correct. It's just generally visually unappealing and you can't detect the order of things sub-consciously, like you should be able to do in good design.

You're not just going to game on a PC, so therefore I think that Windows 10 is the better.

Yeah I'm not a big fan clinging onto outdated operating or computing systems. It's okay when you have specific reasons, but saying 10 looks 'atrocious' and citing 7 as a better example is just...:s

no reason to not use 10. It's a free upgrade and definitely breathes some new, fresh, & very stable life into my rig. I have yet to experience any performance or compatibility issues with games whatsoever as well.

I like using Windows 10 on other PC's, but my current PC won't run it too well, so I'm stuck with Windows 7 for the moment. Waiting for the 2016 Blade to come out to change that.

I think windows 10 is totally worth the upgrade. despite not really noticing any differences in gaming between the two.

Windows 10 as it comes with DirectX 12 which allows for much higher graphical fidelity

I disagree, Windows Millennium might be better ;)
