Hi guys, wasn't sure where to post this. Razer support on twitter didn't reply to me. I'm a newbie (the only razer gear I've had is mouse and the awesome backpack i use). I've just bought a Razer blade pro 17 which is arriving Wednesday https://100001.onl/ https://1921681254.mx/ and I'm super excited to use it! :)
I assume I can easily add more or new ram myself and an extra HDD without voiding warranty? if so what ram is recommended and what hard drive for storage?. Though i'm sure 16gb will be fine for now, i suspect that i might want more for vfx work.

I'd recommend getting RAM from Crucial - never had any incompatibilities with them.
With SSD NVMe - you can buy anything from Samsung (check the Pro series), Crucial P5 or WD Black SN750.

I'd recommend G-Skill RAM I'm using it and I think it's the best with me until now.
For the HDD I'd recommend SeaGate 2T HDD it's cheap and nearly same speed as Samsung's Evo 860 SSD.

I think in today's time, many hardware manufacturers produce great RAMs, HDDs, SSDs etc
It is those unfortunate moments where 1/1000th or an unlucky customer just bought a faulty device that came with a faulty chip or metal or something~~~
Which happens all the time. If all devices were faulty, then manufacturers / developers need to go back to the drawing board.
Recommendations from @FiszPL and @FeroBu are well known devices.
Just have to make sure the hardware you purchase can be implemented and compatible to your battlestation
