You can alter settings and squeeze more battery life out of it. Also for new users: the battery life improves after a week or two of use. I find my battery lasting longer now than it did the first few days.
  2. I was expecting it to get 6 hours of battery life. Is that an unreasonable expectation when Razer claims the product will get 6 hours of battery life? I happen to own a 2012 Retina MacBook Pro 15" and I'll have to give Apple credit, their battery life claims were right on the money.

Oh. It seems you were predominantly a Mac user before this. @Min-Liang Tan, do you see this? A Mac user was converted, and you lost him right back to Apple.

Anyway, I assume you ordered it the minute it came out for sale online, and didn't bother waiting for reviews, professional and amateur? Every single review of the UHD Stealth I've seen says that it has typically 3-4 hours of battery life with conservative use on average.

See, with Windows, actual battery life is typically much shorter than allleged battery life, especially compared to OS X machines. With the same machine, ceteris paribus, OS X sips less power from the battery and runs with with less heat, whether it's due to optimisation, deliberate throttling or a mix of both is unclear. As a result, OS X machines have a much better/accurate battery life in general if you don't do anything more than very light reading/browsing/editing documents. If you're browsing aggressively, it'll drop about two hours from claimed battery life.

Note that most PC manufacturers will tell you just "6 hours battery life" or "8 hours battery life", but Apple says "7 hours wireless web". Basically, some people (well, @Derek712) have found out that if you left the Stealth QHD alone at idle, it could actually hit that 8 hour battery life you were talking about. So technically, Razer/insert most-PC-companies was right, just in a fairly lame way.

I've seen someone claim to hit 9 hours of working use on a Stealth (likely on a QHD) after he turned it into a Hackintosh by installing OS X on it though. Intrigues me enough to think trying to do that once my warranty expires/I get enough money or knowledge to swap out OSes without removing the SSD.

Does anyone have any guesses for how many minutes youve gained from disabling or having low brightness levels the backlit keys? I really enjoy using the static green keys at level 4 brightness(theres 20 levels ,but the lowest on synapse is 10)

did your guys facing this issue :

charge at 100% before sleep than shut it down, after 10hours on it back battery drop to 25-35% ? battery drain even the device is off?

That's strange. It can be either Windows 10 (hate it) installing updates at night or you were charging your phone via USB. Or a replacement issue, ofc.

but i already shut down ,omg not hardware issue please

Probably Windows 10 does not think that shutting it down is a good idea. So it powers on and takes some pictures, sniffs some data, etc. If you want go to system events and check if it was the case.

Minor update after 11 days: While I still can't provide an exact measurement of exactly how long my Stealth can last since I work in a retail setting and thus might put the Stealth to sleep from time to time, I can give you an estimate.

    1) Power Saver (max CPU at 65%) + Battery Saver profiles,

    2) 40-50% screen brightness and no keyboard/logo backlighting

    3) Using Chrome and LibreOffice (too broke to buy MSoffice)

It lasted me from work at 1230pm till I got home at 9:30pm, with 30% battery life left. I also did a bit of installing/downloading since I just recovered the system (again). Definitely drained the battery much slower than when I first got it after the initial 3 hour charge.

Too bad I'm going to RMA this set in about two days time, and get my 256 GB Stealth in the meantime (yay for company reimbursements).

I tend to do a lot of homework and small amounts of programming. I turn on the battery saving functions and can get about 7 hours. Games will crush it though.....

Unless I start getting 6 hours on this thing instead of 5, I'm selling it.

Likely, I mean 5 hours is less than my XPS 15 4k which I got for only a couple hundred more lol.

ic, i never run timer and calculate my RBS usage, i think average around 3-5hours on battery mode, if i never plug in my mamba chroma i think the battery life can lasting more couple minutes

Yeah... 3-5 hours on a machine that claims 8 and should get at least 6... The competition getting sometimes twice as much.

Actually, I think the synaptics driver has something to do with it. Moving the cursor causes "synaptics 64 bit enhancements" to use 1-3% CPU. That's definitely going to hurt power consumption over a day's use. If you uninstall it then you can't make use of any basic functions of the Trackpad, even scrolling.

if this RBS can get 6hours of battery (working usage), there will be more and more buyer for this laptop, but too bad it only 3-5 hours.

when i first use this trackpad, very hard to get use to it and after a few test than i miss my macbook trackpad

Actually I found it quite descent. I guess you should go to synaptics and disable things like edge scrolling and type protection to make it more Apple-like.
