Mine is Lord of The rings without a doubt, watched it over 15 times. Including 7 full marathons. Some things never get old

Not really much of a discussion poll, though, is it? Maybe consider editing the post to invite an actual discussion.

I did enjoy the Lord of the Rings series, but it's not my favorite of all time.
Over the years I've seen so many movies I can't even think of something that is an all-time hands down absolute winner for me, I'd be more likely to have one favorite in each of the genres I really like. I can come up with a favorites list:

    Underworld series
    Alien series
    First Wives Club
    Jaws
    Top Gun
    Raiders of the Lost Ark
    Full Metal Jacket
    Spaceballs

I don't like scifi though.. I will have a look at underworld series no idea what that is

Seems like i can't edit the poll, oops...

I'm like @kajira and don't really do "single favourites", I can't really say one movie is "the best", rather there's a bunch of movies I really, really like, such as:
    • Star Wars (Episode V I consider to be the best of them)
    • Spaceballs
    • Batman Begins/The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight Rises (First two are the best, third is okay but is a bit over the top)
    • Disney Animations (The Emperor's New Groove is one of my most liked, but most are pretty great!)
    • Futurama Movies (Unlike other 'Comedy Series to Movie' transitions, Futurama nailed the pacing and feel of their episodes whilst also making a decent overarching plot for the movies which broadcasted in tripartite structure).
    • Inception (Nolan is a great director and film maker)
    • V for Vendetta (even without the comics I appreciate the power of this film, it is excellently written and produced)
    • Heaps more I won't remember because I'm a cucumber.

somehow I haven't seen that either though I have endlessly heard it referenced. My favorites, which should come as no surprise to @Lafar and especially @kajira are two Tarantino movies. Django Unchained and Inglorious Bastards. V for Vendetta is definitely up there in my list though @ThirdDegreePun. I bought the graphic novel off a buddy but have yet to finish it. I need to get back to that.

@Destrok - Not surprised in the least!! I also agree that I think those are awesome movies!

Truth is, there are just so darn many good ones, but they fall into very different categories and touch very different parts of the brain / moods - I just can't understand how people are able to satisfy their entire emotional center with just one movie. lol

    Hmm, oh boy...

    • StarWars(4-7, yes 7 too)
    • Spaceballs(I mean, It's Spaceballs)
    • LotR 1-3(most epic scene is the Battle for Helms Deep)
    • Zootopia(I've never seen an animation movie, that combines comedy and society criticism on a level that makes an adult thoughtful, but even children understand the message and the animations are just... wowww..)
And the most favorite... The one and only Life of Brian. I still watch this movie around 5 times a year and every time I'm laying on my floor laughing. A huge plus for that is, that the German dubs are creating their own humor, so you can watch the movie in two ways and both are genius.

I guess mine are a little different.

    1) About Time
Then in no particular order, some other tops would be:
    The Crow
    Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
    Willow
    Dr. No
    The Hunt for Red October

    **edit**
Ok, after being Aladdin for so many years in California and Japan, I can't believe I left that off the list.

So, Aladdin (the first one, not any of the sequels, especially not number 2, where they didn't use Robin Williams).

  20. Oooh.. this.. this is a hard one! I rarely actually rewatch movies, it's kind of: "seen it once seen it all". But there is a few gems I never get tired of, and has seen multiple times.

    John Wick
The riddick series, and yes that includes pitch black:two_hearts:
300 (come on, fit halfnaked men, whats not to love!)
Underworld series (there's a new one coming guys!!)

I love watching Fantasy and Scifi movies tho, and disney and pixar. Whenever I'm sick I instantly go to the family section of netflix and pick up some animated movie.
